Title: Not Enough
Release date: November 16th 2015
Author: Mia Hoddell
Genre: Upper YA/NA Contemporary Romance
Neve Colvin isn’t good enough. As an introvert, her life is a never-ending list of labels and criticism. Pressures to change come from everyone—including the one person she thought would love her unconditionally … her mother. All Neve wants is acceptance, but surrounded by extroverts it’s a wish that’s nearly impossible to fulfil.
For Neve there’s only one solution: anyone disapproving must go. Even if it means only one person will remain.
That person is her lifelong friend Blake Reynolds. He’s seen the fights with her mum, the breakdowns caused by attacks on her personality, and the battles for acceptance. Each time she is left shattered and questioning who she is, he’s the one to collect the pieces of her broken heart. Shielding her from the cruelty is his only concern. But how can he protect her when Neve is concealing a secret so dark?
Blake thinks he knows everything about her, and with their relationship developing, he assumes Neve trusts him fully. However, there is one memory Neve is too ashamed of to share. Revealing it will test Blake’s loyalty beyond what she could ever ask, and Blake is the only friend she can’t afford to lose. He’s the one person capable of dragging her from the darkness plaguing her, but with pressures to conform increasing, even Blake may not be enough to pull her back this time.

1. How long have you been an author?
I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember. However, I published my first novel back in 2012 so that’s when I consider myself officially an author.
2. What is your favourite genre?
I love anything romantic. My favourite sub-genres change often, but right now I love contemporary NA or romantic suspense.
3. If someone hasn't read any of your work, what book would you recommend they start with and why?
It depends on what they’re looking for. If they want a short, sweet, feel-good read they should pick up one of my Seasons of Change novellas. However, if they’re looking for a full-length, more emotional read I’d recommend Not Enough. Out of all of the books I have released, Not Enough is my favourite so far.
4. What is the biggest surprise you’ve discovered about the writing process?
I’ve grown to like the editing process. I hated it in the beginning, but surprisingly I now enjoy it.
5. Can you tell us about one of your current works in progress?
Recently, I signed my third contract with Limitless Publishing LLC for a new series titled Chequered Flag. The first book, Chameleon Soul, will be releasing on February 2nd 2016, and I’ve already completed book 2. All of the books will be interconnected standalones that follow a group of racing drivers as they fight for love.
6. Name one thing readers would be surprised to know about you.
I have never read Harry Potter. For some reason, that always seems to surprise people in the book world.
7. Name your top three writing goals?
I’m not sure how to answer this. I’ve hit all of the goals I set myself this year so I’ll have to think up some more for 2016.
Fun Questions -
1. If you had a warning label, what would it say?
Approach with caution and bring chocolate when hungry, tired, or near a deadline.
2. If you had the chance to meet one of your characters privately, who would it be and what would you do?
I’d like to meet Teo from my soon-to-be released novel Chameleon Soul. I’d make him take me to his Formula 1 races in all of the hot countries since I’d love to travel the world.
3. What is the naughtiest thing you’ve ever done?
Ha! No way am I sharing that. I may have included it in one of my Chequered Flag books though so you’ll have to read them to find out.

“You’re not broken, Neve.” I lower my head at his words, but his finger pulls my gaze back to his. “You’re not.”
“Whatever, try telling that to everyone else.”
“F*** their opinions, Neve. You’re. Not. Broken. You’re not deficient or not good enough. You’re stronger than you believe. So what if you’re quieter than the rest of the people you’ve mixed with. That doesn’t make you any less funny, quick witted, clever, beautiful, or a great friend to be around. You’ve been given a hard time, but you’re still here fighting, and I’ll always be there beside you.”
I tense at his words, at how far from the truth they are. “I haven’t always. There have been times where fighting was the furthest thing from my mind.” If only he knew how far I’d taken things, he wouldn’t be sitting here complimenting me.
“Don’t be daft, of course you are. You’re here, aren’t you? And you just pledged your undying love to me.”
“I did no—” I stop talking abruptly when I glance up and catch his teasing grin. “You’re annoying.”
“It got a smile out of you though.”
I bob my head gently in agreement, thankful that the change of subject stopped me revealing the one and only thing Blake doesn’t know.
