Seasons of Change By Izzibella Beau...

Seasons Of Change (When Separate Worlds Collide Book 2)

Changes are coming to West Lakes. Zach and Emily, Jacob and Madison, and Danny and Alex are destined mates. But, what is the reason for having such high ranked and powerful supernaturals coming together all at the same time? Zach h
as found out who and what Emily is—will he still love her and want to be the mate of the one he was trained to hunt and kill? Emily and Zach have their love, but it may not be enough to amend for the past and prepare them for their future. Jacob and Madison are followed by a darkness that will do anything and everything to keep them apart. As close as they are, these two are driven farther apart by circumstances they have no control over. Is this the end before it even began? Alex and Danny are the stable minded couple of the group, but that is all about to change. Alex’s powers of being a seer are becoming more potent. Will Danny be able to save Alex from her own abilities or will the pressure placed on her to save everyone else become too much? Season of Change will alter the world of the paranormals as they know it. Will the black magic enchantresses and Orfeo’s family of vampires be able to overcome those of white magic, shape shifters, and seers? So much has already happened, and yet so much more is yet to come that will make us believe that being of the mundane world is a much safer place.

“So, when’s the new bundle of joy coming?” Danny just had to throw a wise ass comment as soon as Madison sat down for lunch. “Shouldn’t you be eating a little more than that since you are eating for two?”
Jacob, who had a free period and came with Madison to lunch, picked up a napkin off of her tray and threw it at him. “There’s no baby.” He kissed Madison on the cheek and whispered in her ear, “yet.”
“I heard that and Dad would kick your ass if you and her had a kid right now.” Zach knew their father and that type of nonsense just wasn’t permitted in the family or pack. It all had to follow rules, regulations, and not starting a family until school and training had been completed.
“Then maybe you should take your own advice.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Did his brother know something about him and Emily that he wasn’t letting onto?
Jacob shook his head. “Nothing, I guess. But it’s apparent that you and Emily have done the big deed.”
Emily sat there wide eyed and stunned. She glanced over at Zach, who looked like he was having the same thoughts as she was. “Well, Jacob, maybe you should stay out of mine and Zach’s personal business.” Emily decided to take the upper hand with this since it seemed her mate was too distraught to say anything in rebuttal.
“I was just telling you guys to be careful, can’t be having any little Lovells running around here yet.” Jacob picked up his backpack and leaned down to give Madison a kiss goodbye. “I have to go meet Anthony and Will, but I’ll see you right after school.” Madison nodded her head okay and watched as Jacob walked around to the other side of the table where Zach and Emily were seated. “See, it’s all speculation with me and Madison and our big love adventure, but you just sort of admitted that it’s true with you guys.” He winked at Madison and walked out of the lunchroom.
“No offense, Madison, but Zach,” Emily turned toward her mate, “your brother is an ass.” She turned back to Madison, Alex, and Danny, who all were still giving her questionable stares. “Well, I don’t think it’s anyone’s business what we all do in our time together with our ma—” Emily stopped herself before she said the word. There would have been a lot of questions asked if she had said mate. “I just don’t think anyone should care what we do when any of us are alone with each other.”
Madison reached over the table and patted her hand. “Em, it’s okay if you’re having sex. We’re not your aunt or the sex patrol squad. I can tell you a few secrets or pointers. Jacob likes when I—”
“Okay, I’ve seen and heard enough.” Zach picked up his and Emily’s trays to take to the garbage. “I don’t want to hear about my younger brother’s sexcapades with one of my close friends. That’s where I have to draw the line.” Danny nodded his head in agreement. The girls just laughed at the boys. They were able to talk to each other about their wild times, but seemed like they got a little disturbed when the girls were around. The lunch bell rang for dismissal, the group said their goodbyes, and parted ways.
“Do you think Brindle is going to try anything, like to get back at either one of us?” Madison was seated in Jacob’s truck as he drove her home after school. She knew Brindle was probably really hurt from the big break-up this morning, it was obvious because neither she nor her two cronies were in school. They didn’t seem like the type to go home and have a cry fest, like Madison probably would have done, so they must be planning something and it most likely would be against her.
“Brindle sort of can’t think past her fingernails or her clothes, so there isn’t much to worry about.” He pulled the truck out of the school parking and turned toward Madison’s house. “I just love all the wild rumors that started to go around.” He chuckled to himself over some of the ones he had heard. There was the pregnancy one, then Madison was paying him to go out with her, their parents had arranged this when they were born, he felt sorry for her, and it was a joke and Brindle was in on it.
Madison punched him lightly on the arm. “That’s because you’re not the brunt of the joke, it’s always me.” She let go of his hand and slumped back in the seat. Of course they’d make up rumors that would dis her and not him—he was the almighty king of the school.
“Stop it.” Jacob reached back over and grabbed her hand again. Madison looked at him like she had no clue as to what he was talking about. “You’re thinking that all the gossip is about you because of who I am, or was, or whatever it is that people think of me.” He squeezed her hand and brought it to his mouth to kiss. “Not true. They just don’t have anything else to do except to worry about what everyone else is doing. How would you like to have everything that you do, whether it’s sports, grades, family, friends, and girls, watched by everyone all the time?” Jacob shook his head like he was frustrated just thinking about it all. “During football season, I can’t even go into a store without someone asking me if I’m going to bring it home once again with another state title. Now, I know how all those famous people in Hollywood feel. Their lives are never private. And then there’s the girls...” Jacob was trying not to smile on that last part. He knew that would get her going on something. It seemed every time she rolled her eyes, which she just did with the comment about girls, she would always have some kind of comeback answer.

“I’m seriously depressing myself.” She picked up her glass of sweet tea and left the kitchen.
She was bored already. A girl could only drive around the block so many times before even that was no longer fun. She could go outside and do yard work. With the leaves starting to fall, she needed to get that under control or else dry, brown leaves would take over her yard the way they did every year.
She walked out to her porch and spotted Brad by the walnut tree, picking up the fallen nuts that drove her insane. Normally she’d speak to him, but instead, she slowly backed toward the door. She had a hard time breaking her gaze from his biceps. Staring at his ass, she darted her tongue out to moisten her lips. He slowly squatted, his shirt lifting in the back, and she caught a glimpse of the top of his boxers.
A shiver went through her as her nipples hardened. Oh no, no, no, no. She was not getting turned on by this guy. She hadn’t spoken a word to him since he’d gone all weird on her that evening after their drive. She couldn’t figure out why he’d acted like that, getting pissy about how she spent her money.
As she took the next step back, her foot hit something round and wobbly. She flailed out her arms to grab a hold of something, but all her hands found was air and her butt hit the hard, wooden porch with a loud thud. Her cheeks burned, and she was pretty certain a curse word flew out.
“You okay?” Brad called.
Well, there went her sneaking back in without him knowing she’d come out. “Yup.”
The crunching of leaves and sticks let her know he approached. She glanced up, and her mouth dropped open. Damn, when did he get so smokin’ hot? A tight black T-shirt hugged his chest and thick biceps. And was that a tattoo peeking out of his shirt sleeve? Next time he was outside shirtless, she’d have to pay more attention.
Was she drooling?
He brushed his dark hair from his eyes. “Need help?”
Yes, she’d lost her mind.

Beautifully Destroyed By Gracie Wilson...

Beautifully Destroyed

Life can take you by surprise, it can also put you through hell. My fate was never my own to deal with. It was ruined before I even had a chance. It was a rough start and it hasn’t gotten much better. Hiding behind the walls of my room is how I get through each day. Destroyed doesn’t even begin to describe the way my life has been.
Finally, I get away and things are looking up. Of course nothing can go right and some things are just too much to bear. In comes the one thing I can’t have. I’ve read so many books and I know the drill. Rock stars and musicians are not for me. I can’t hide when they are always in the light. Something about him makes me want to step into that light, though. He is constantly bringing me to new levels and places I could never imagine.
The secrets I’ve tried to keep to myself are breaking into my new life. Having him around is helping but the outside world ruins us as well. I either have to take the chance and let him in or push him away once and for all. Every time I pull away he is right back here pushing his way back in. He is relentless, he is everything I shouldn’t have. Those secrets I tried to keep hidden begin to surface, bringing havoc to our lives. The world so desperately wants to keep us apart and I might just let it to keep my secrets.
Do I sit back and let the world pass me by or do I finally let those wounds heal and have the life he thinks I deserve?

“Fate, don’t over think anything, okay? I have no agenda here. We are friends. I understand that’s what you need and want.” His words are like something from my own head but they are a bit off.
“What I need is you to be my friend, but what I want is something completely different.” I hear his breath catch and I quickly try to repair the damage I’ve done. “I know I’m not the kind of girl you go for, but you’re a rock star, can’t blame a girl, can you?” I say, trying to come off as joking.
“What do you want from me, Fate? I need you to lay it out for me because sometimes I’m just not sure with you and I don’t ever want to do anything to make you feel uncomfortable around me.” He is putting me on the spot and the attention begins to get to me.
“Dinner,” I say, trying to remind him of his early rush to get something to eat.
“You mean a date?” he says with a grin and I know he’s trying to get a read on me. It’s what Cameron does. Since I have been here, I’ve been watching him. Even when I wasn’t talking to him all that time, I couldn’t help it. He just looked so withdrawn, which seemed to be so unlike him. At night in my room, I’d look at pictures of him and his band. He looked so at peace on stage, it’s his happy place. I had to know what someone like that had to prove by being the way he was to me. I couldn’t shake him off.
“I don’t know how to date, I’ve never even had a friend. I don’t let people in or let them even touch me. It’s the way I’ve survived.” I can see my words are hurting him but they need to be said. “I can’t make any promises. Each step is a new one and they all have to be small.” He looks hopeful and that brings me the feelings I was wanting. “But I’m willing to try.”
“I’m going to be the good guy. I don’t want you to think my intentions aren’t pure here. So I will be your friend.” His words make my heart sink. I try to keep my face straight and I know I’m failing miserably. “It’s not because I don’t want more. Trust me, that’s the farthest from the truth here, but I won’t rush this and risk screwing it up again.” I could just lean over and touch him but just the thought of contact is driving my heart into overdrive.
“You challenge me, McAlister, I like that about you. Don’t back off too much, okay?”
Sometimes you have to push through the pain, right?” His eyes light up and I know he’s trying to figure out if that was just a coincidence. “Only then will you see the truth behind it.
“Fate...I know you don’t enjoy music. How?” he whispers to me.
“I printed out all the lyrics. I read them, I didn’t listen. I’m just not there yet. That could never happen. I don’t know if I will get there. So I’m just not sure how this will work but...I’m willing to leave it all behind for a chance.”
“Stop, please.” He looks as if he’s in so much pain and I worry that this may be a trigger for him similar to how touching is for me.
“I’m sorry, I thought you’d be happy. I never meant to bring up anything to cause you such pain, Cameron.” I walk away and sit on the couch, putting my hands in my lap. Within a few seconds, he’s sitting next to me. I see him go to reach his hand to touch my leg, but he stops himself.
“Fate, it isn’t a bad memory. You have no idea what it means that you put yourself through that shit to read my words. Then to hear you say them to me and not just reading them but using them as a direction for your life, well, that just breaks me. I will never push, but I want to comfort you and I just don’t know how.”

Dark Moments & Silver Linings By Jamielynn Boothe...

Dark Moments and Silver Linings

Tracy had moved to Provincetown with Christy and Heather to start a new life for herself. She lived in a new town, away from all of the nightmares of her past, or so she thought. She painfully realized that running away from her past w
ould not free her from it. Because of her nightmares and fears and a strong suggestion from her therapist, she had to return home to Moneta, Virginia.
Once home, and with the help of Brad Washburn, she had to deal with more than her fears. She had to face and deal with her feelings for Brad, the man who had saved her life two years ago. Having become close friends, both Tracy and Brad had begun to have deep feelings for one another, but never revealed them. With her staying with him under his roof for the two weeks she was home, all of that changed.
Passion rose and love flew as their time together became hotter than a furnace. Can Tracy fight her fears and demons and handle her feelings for the man who saved her from death? Can she deal with the consequences of their lust and love? Will Brad be there for her until the end or will he be like her insecurities want her to believe? Will there be more dark moments or will
there be silver linings?

Before leaving the room, he put on a pair of shorts and a T-shirt, remembering that Tracy was probably home. She was very quiet, though, and he wondered what she was doing. He had forgotten that she would be cooking dinner until he opened the door and the aromas from the kitchen wafted through the hallway, filling his nostrils. He was grateful for what he smelled and smiled as he walked toward the kitchen. As he turned the corner to go into the kitchen, he was going to say something but stopped dead in his tracks. What he saw in front of him made his heart skip a beat.
Tracy had her back to him, so she didn’t know that he was standing there and watching her, but damn did she look amazing. She stood in front of the oven stirring something, softly swaying her hips to the soft music that she had playing on a small radio on the counter. She was wearing a short purple dress that not only went barely past her butt cheeks, but it clung to her figure as if she’d had someone spray paint it on her. Her hair was hanging down loosely down her back, and she was wearing lavender heels.
Brad leaned against the door frame, admiring everything that he felt he was being blessed to see, but he had to keep himself in check. First and foremost he had to be respectful, and secondly, he didn’t need another episode like he had in the shower. After watching her slowly move around for a couple minutes without noticing him, he decided to make his presence known by complimenting her on how great everything smelled.
“Oh my goodness, it smells wonderful in here!”
Tracy turned and smiled at him, and he could tell that even though she didn’t need it, she had even put on makeup for him.perfume over the aroma of the sauce, but it stirred something inside of him that made him want her even more than he already did. Thankfully, the sound of the microwave beeping broke the spell she had on him, and he was able to look away.
“I hope you don’t mind me saying, but you look amazing tonight,” he told her as he sipped his coffee. “I actually feel underdressed for this occasion.”
She smiled back at him and said, “Thank you, and you look great just how you are. I just felt like dressing up a little, is all. You don’t mind, do you?”
Brad chuckled and commented, “No, I certainly don’t mind at all.”
“Dinner will be ready in about an hour. I still have to make the garlic bread and cook the pasta. Are you hungry?”
“I am, but I can wait. There’s no rush. Are you sure you don’t need some help?”
“I’m sure,” she said. “I like to cook.”
“Okay then, I’ll just sit here and admi—I mean, watch you,” he said, and he blushed when he caught his slip. He kicked himself mentally for such a mistake, not wanting her to think less of him in any way.
Tracy didn’t say anything, so he didn’t know if she caught that or not, but he couldn’t see her face, so he couldn’t read her reaction. What he wasn’t able to see was a huge smile on her face. She had caught what he almost said and his words made her feel incredible inside.

Witch Hunter By Shari Nichols...

Witch Hunter
By Shari Nichols

Are you into the paranormal, fascinated by myth legend and lore? I grew up in a small town in Connecticut where haunted houses, ghosts and Ouija boards were commonplace. I’ve always been fascinated with the strange and the unexplained for as long as I can remember and not just ghosts and vampires, but mermaids, UFO’s, Big Foot and witches … especially witches.

The legend of the sexiest most alluring creatures known to man those that have the power to ensnare the mind and bewitch the body still fascinate readers today. Over one hundred years after Bram Stoker penned the first Dracula novel, vampires are still part of pop culture. TV shows like True Blood and the Vampire Diaries remind us of the allure of the sexy blood suckers that continue to capture our imagination and rev our libido.

The legend of "Dracula" was based on a true Romanian Prince named Vlad Tepes, a ruthless warrior who slaughtered his enemies in cruel and heinous ways, earning him the nickname Vlad the Impale. Eventually, he was killed by the Turks, the very people he brutalized. In the end, his head was presented to the Sultan as proof of his death and his body buried in a monastery. Many years later when his tomb was opened all that was found was a pile of horse bones … hmmm Dracula indeed,
.Some of my favorite legend and lore surrounds the mystical practice of witchcraft. Witches have often been depicted as evil crones possessed by the devil. Many were tortured, hanged, burned alive and in some cases stoned to death.  For hundreds of years, witches have been portrayed in many forms, from the wrinkled old woman who was possessed by the devil, to the young beautiful sorceress who could enchant a mere mortal.

When the Harry Potter books and movies came out I was hooked. I read every book four times and then reread them with my daughter. JK Rowling‘s tales of potions making, spells and enchantments has become so epic and genius that she has literally created an entire world with her novels. I’m still obsessed with witches, even made my heroine in Book 1 of my Ravens Hollow series a witch.
Determined MBI (Magickal Bureau of investigations)agent Alex Denopoulos will stop at nothing to catch a killer, including recruit notorious felon, Willow McCray to work for the agency. The lines between duty and passion become blurred the more time he spends with the sultry witch. In the midst of the investigation, they succumb to the dark edges of desire, placing both their lives in danger. Alex will risk more than his badge to keep her alive.
Kick-ass witch Willow must use her powers for good if she wants to stay out of Hellios, a mage prison for those who have broken the Wiccan Rede of ‘Harm ye None.’ Willow never expects to fall so hard for Alex, a mortal with a penchant for justice and a deep seated hatred of witches. Though a future together seems impossible, she doesn’t want to let him go. If only she can vanquish the evil surrounding them and give Alex what he wants, her mind and body-before she loses her heart and maybe her very soul in the process.

Shari Nichols grew up in a small town in Connecticut where haunted houses, ghosts and Ouija boards were common place, spurring her fascination with all things paranormal. Ever since she read her first Barbara Cartland novel, her life-long dream has been to write sexy, romantic stories. Shari has been married to her own alpha hero for twenty-two years. When she’s not writing, she’s reading, going to the gym, or hanging out with family and friends.
She lives in New Jersey with her husband, two teenagers, and her adoring golden retriever. Shari graduated from Rider University with a degree in Business Administration. After spending several years in the grind of Corporate America, she quit to stay at home with her kids. Now she’s thrilled to spend her days in sweats, eating chocolate while pounding on her keyboard to create her next novel.
Her first book, Witch Hunter is available with Ellora’s Cave Publishing. Her next book, another steamy, romance, will venture into the world of ghosts and haunted inns. Shari is a member of Romance Writers of America, New Jersey Romance Writers, Liberty States Fiction Writers and Fantasy, Futuristic, and Paranormal Romance Writers.

A New Release & A Great Giveaway with M.S. Spencer...

The tower in my romantic suspense novel The Mason's Mark: Love and Death in the Tower refers to the George Washington National Masonic Memorial in Alexandria, Virginia. The 330-foot-tall building has three sections—the ground level, the main floor, and the tower. The tower holds six progressively smaller rooms. The top level opens to an observation deck, from which visitors can see all of Alexandria and Washington, DC—or, if you’re my heroine Claire Wilding, find a dead body.

The fourth floor contains a museum dedicated to George Washington. Washington served as the Charter (first) Master of the Alexandria lodge, and many of his letters and memorabilia are housed here, including the Washington family Bible. Since our heroine and hero meet in the museum, it follows that the Mason's Mark would involve long lost papers, distant family scandals, and academic intrigue concerning our first President. Delicious mystery and even more delicious romance ensue.
I’d love to give away a pdf copy of The Mason’s Mark, so please leave a comment and include your email address. You’ll be glad you did!

In both the best and worst first day at work ever,  docent Claire Wilding meets the man of her dreams, but her carefully rehearsed guided tour of the George Washington National Masonic Memorial falls apart when she discovers a dead body. Together with Detective Ernest Angle, she's drawn into a dark world of black ops and Italian renegade masons. Also cloaked in mystery is her new love Gideon Bliss.  A George Washington expert, he haunts the Memorial, his manner evasive. What is his secret? Claire fears she'll fall in love with him only to learn he's a thief or even a murderer.

Juggling two eccentric mothers, an inquisitive sister, and an increasingly smitten Ernest, Claire must find answers to a complex web of intrigue, including which black ops agent to trust,  whether our first president strayed, and if she and Gideon will ever be together.

Claire took his hand and they climbed the stairs to the hall.
“What are you going to do now?”
Gideon closed the little door behind her and took her face in his hands. “I am going to make love to you.”
One would have thought this would take Claire by surprise, but since she had managed to keep her own desire on the back burner only by dint of fingernails jammed painfully into her palms, she didn’t quibble. “Take me upstairs.”
Claire assumed the king-sized bed filling the center of the room was there by necessity, given Gideon’s six-foot-three frame. Thank God there’s no ceiling mirror. Light filtered in through the wooden Roman shades, revealing a room with few feminine touches. She hoped that meant Dorcas hadn’t spent much time here. The bureau had a small mirror, a brush, and a bowl of coins. Clothes were dumped unceremoniously near, but not on, hooks.
It didn’t take them long to add to the pile. As they stood amid the detritus Gideon bent down to kiss the top of her head. She took a forefinger and pushed him slowly but irresistibly onto his back on the bed, noting with satisfaction the flicker of trepidation that licked his features. The hours leading up to this moment only made her hungrier for him. Setting one knee on each side of his hips, she slowly inched up his body, gliding over the erect penis with only a casual rub. As her pussy neared his mouth he grabbed her thighs and drew her to him. His tongue crossed the distance and lodged itself in her vagina, sucking and tickling. She rolled the aching flesh over his mouth and opened her thighs wide. When his fingers slid toward her asshole she redoubled her thrusting. One finger, then two, entered the hole, while his hands clasped her buttocks and propelled her closer. The orgasm rose just before she wanted it to, but when she heard him mumble, “Come on, come on, baby, come,” she let go.
She arched over him, shaking and yelping. He held her arms and moved her off his body. “My turn,” he whispered.
When he’d finished, not a skin cell on her body remained unfondled. His penis lay inside her pumping its last ounce of love, and his lips were fastened on one ear lobe, nibbling the soft flesh.
She awoke to find the sun that slipped through the shades glistening red and checked her watch. Six o’clock! “Oh dear, my mother was supposed to call. She’ll wonder why I didn’t pick up.” She scrabbled about on the floor for her purse and sat back on the bed, stumped.
“You left it downstairs.” Gideon stretched and let a hand fall on her breast. He tickled the nipple till it stood up. “Just tell her you were indisposed.”
She brushed the hand away. “I have to go, Gideon. I can’t believe what we did.”
“It’s called ‘Afternoon Delight.’ Delightful. Come here.”
“Really, no.” She found her light cotton shift under the bed and pulled it on, then ran a comb through her hair. “You haven’t told me what you’re going to do with the box.”
Gideon sighed and pulled on his jeans. “I need a little more time. If Nutley’s theory is correct, the letters could be explosive, but I’d really like to be sure of their authenticity before the news gets out.”
“When will you know?”
But he didn’t have a chance to answer her. Loud pounding came from the front door. Gideon didn’t bother to button his shirt before running out to the balcony. From the front windows Claire saw strobe lights flashing in the street. Police cars?
As her lover leapt down the stairs they heard a deep voice trumpet, “Mr. Bliss? Open up. This is the police.”

Although she has lived or traveled in every continent except Antarctica and Australia (bucket list), M. S. Spencer has spent the last thirty years mostly in Washington, D.C. as a librarian, Congressional staff assistant, speechwriter, editor, birdwatcher, kayaker, policy wonk, non-profit director and parent. Blessed with two fabulous grown children, she has published nine romantic suspense/mystery novels. In an excess of optimism, she has recently heaved the entire ho to Florida with a detour to Maine, leaving behind the cherry blossoms, the monuments, and the political hacks.

Carter wants to give Madison the strength to walk away from Chris once and for all, but he’s afraid he will he lose her in the process. Chris will not let her go easily, but Carter is ready to fight for the one woman who could mean everything to him.

"Chris was like fire. It was pretty to look at, but if you got too close you got burnt, and if it wasn’t controlled it would destroy everything in its path. Doing what I was about to do with Carter was dangerous, but what can I say? I never had parents to warn me not to play with fire."

Troianne (Time Travel Society Book 1),

He said all the right things...
Then left her alone.

Troianne Shelden is your everyday, intelligent student. With a love for history and stunning figure, she's a catch for any guy. But after a night of passion with a handsome stranger, introduced to her by their mutual friends, she finds herself pregnant with nowhere to turn for advice.

Her parents passed away long ago and, soon after Troianne finds out she's pregnant, her grandmother passes, too. Left with a large inheritance, she looks forward to life with her new baby.

Fate takes the wheel when she goes into labor. On her way to the hospital, she passes out from intense pain and wakes up in a very different place...

The next thing she knows, she's hearing carriage wheels and voice shouting for help. Lightning illuminates the inside of what was, only moments before, the back of a taxi cab. When the door opens, she's greeted by a handsome man dressed like he stepped out of the past.

In shock, she realizes that she's somehow traveled back in time--
...and she has no idea how to return.
