The Escape By N.C. Winters...

The Escape

When tragedy strikes the life of twenty-one year old Annabelle Martin, the only thing she knows to do is run. She takes her best friend Harper Reed and moves to a small town in Tennessee. The two begin a new life in the country, not expe
cting to fall in love. When Anna met Paisley he was everything she'd ever wanted in a man, Harper fell for his best friend, Ryder, and life was perfect for them - until something terrible happens. Will Anna ever get to experience her happy-ever-after or will the tragedy of her past haunt her forever, leaving her with a constant reminder of her horrid past?

“Would you like to see the balcony?” I asked him
with a wink. He practically jumped up, following me outside. I stood with my hands on the banister, just soaking in the view of Nashville.
“You sure are beautiful, Miss Belle.” I turned around and gave him a smile. Those blue eyes were amazing. I felt his hand run up my side, then back down to the small of my back. He reached down and planted the smallest, sweetest kiss right on my cheek. I felt my face get hot.
“Well, Mr. Paisley, you're not too bad yourself.” I gave him a wink. We walked back in and all of us sat at the table and ate like we had not eaten in a month. He can't go, I don't want him to leave. Will he think I’m a slut if I ask him to stay? I sucked in a deep breath.
“Well, it’s three a.m., do you all want to stay here?” Harper looked at me in complete shock.
“Harp and I can share the bed in the other room to make you comfortable.”
“Oh no, if I stay I want to sleep by Harper.” I swear her face turned so red as we all laughed.
“Sure you can, but you best keep them hands to yourself, boy.” She giggled as she gave Ryder a nudge on his shoulder.
“I'll keep my hands to myself, Miss Harper.” He gave her a wink. I gave Harp a kiss on the cheek.
“Night, sweetness.”
“Night. Love you, Anna.”
I lay down in the bed and felt my eyes glue to

Paisley as he took off his shirt. Oh my God, those muscular arms will be the death of me. I swear! I felt my eyes wander. He was perfect, just the right amount of muscle. I didn't like overly muscled-up guys. He lay down beside me and just stared into my eyes.
“Miss Belle, you have the most beautiful emerald green eyes I have ever seen.” I gave him a smile. We just laid there and soaked in one another. “Can I kiss you, Miss Belle?” I felt the heat come over my face.
“I thought you would never ask.” His hand slid gently up my side till it rested on my chin. I felt the heat as he lowered his lips to mine, and I was lost, lost in the warmth of his lips. He was so gentle and so passionate, I thought I could melt. He suckled my bottom lip just before slowly moving his tongue in. He ended it with a soft kiss to my forehead. I laid my head on his chest and fell asleep.
I knew when I woke up covered in sweat and everyone staring at me that I’d been screaming in my sleep.
“I'm okay, Harp. You can go back to bed.” She placed a kiss on my forehead.
“Okay, sweets, I’m right over there if you need me.” She and Ryder headed back to bed, and by the look on Paisley’s face, he needed an explanation. Tears started down my cheeks. He wrapped his arms around me and never said a word while I explained the event that led me to Tennessee. Somehow I found comfort in his touch. He never once let go. As he planted a soft kiss on my lips, we drifted back to sleep.
I woke up to the sound of my cell phone ringing. I looked over at the clock and it was noon. “Oh my God, noon,” I shouted as I jumped up and answered the phone.
“Hi, Miss Martin.”
“Oh, good afternoon, Mia.” I finished my conversation and when I hung up, I jumped up off the bed. “Yes!” I shouted. Paisley jumped out of the bed about the same time Harper and Ryder ran in.

Not Quite Juliet By Katherine Rhodes...

Not Quite Juliet

One fateful night, by the grace of beer and peanuts, Morgan Kirkbride--the self-professed super fangirl of Silver Soul-- falls for the sexy rock god, Nick D. Literally.

Lands on her ass right in front of him.

Morgan is sure the lead singer of Silver Soul thought she was a graceless flake, but instead asks her to a midnight diner and winds up back at her place. She’s captivated, but sure it’s just a crazy one-night fling. Imagine her shock when the very next Monday at Allegheny County Courthouse, the highly respected, well-credentialed chemist Dr. Nicholas Dovadsky is called as a witness, and Morgan recognizes him as the rock god who rocked her bed.

Sparks fly between them, but things get complicated - fast. When an ex-boyfriend returns to haunt Morgan and her roommate, no one takes him seriously. But when the simple threats become violent, perverse and horrifying, she realizes someone is out to get her.

Nick doesn’t intend for anything or anyone to stop him from getting to know the spunky, curvaceous, if clumsy, woman. He just keeps coming back...because there's one thing he knows: he wants Morgan in his life, for good.

I took the offered hand and nearly swooned. Swooned. Who the hell swoons? I stood up and followed him through the mostly empty club as the staff was sweeping and pushing tables around. He didn’t let go of my hand as we wound through
the tables to the door stage right.
This time, the little bitch in my head slapped me. I was being led backstage by the man I had a severe fangirl crush on, and we were going out for food and a chat. I almost dropped my cider at the realization. I was walking backstage with Nick D. I realized I had an obligation to women everywhere at that moment--and I fulfilled it.
I dropped my eyes and I gazed upon the most gorgeous denim-clad backside I had ever seen. He walked just enough to press those firm globes into the denim and release them a moment later with the next stride. The cloth hugged him, and it was one of the most delicious sights I’d ever seen in my life. Squeezable Tush. I wondered if I could bottle it.
“Enjoying the view?” he asked.
My eyes shot up to his, where he was peeking over his shoulder at me about to push the door open. Fire rushed into my cheeks. Let’s see, I had proved I was graceless, easily flustered, worked at a BDSM club, and had absolutely no stealth to even grab a glimpse of the World’s Most Fantastic Backside. I’d probably dump the soup down the front of my shirt.
His eyes sparkled mischievously, though, as he looked at me. I took a chance. “Hmm. It could be a little better. Could you just turn to the right a little?” He laughed, and obliged me.
Oh, it was a perfect ass.

The Last Surprise by Emily A. Lawrence...

The Last Surprise (Soul’s Desire 3)

When faced with the irrefutable proof she’d been waiting for, Ellie Benton
had to make the most important decision of her life—leaving.
Ellie chose to start over in Paris, leaving her broken heart behind with her childhood friend and the only man she’d ever loved—Tyler Stuart.
But even with the huge distance separating them, Ellie couldn’t escape him in her dreams. When Tyler walked back into her life and proved to her
that everything she “thought” she knew was a lie, Ellie couldn’t resist the strong pull that had always existed between them.
Just when it seemed they had it all—friendship, love, and most importantly, each other—challenges neither of them had anticipated threw them into a
battle for their own survival.

Then a sobering thought crossed my mind, killing my mood in the blink of an eye. “Guys...what if she moved on?” I felt like my heart was in a vice, unnaturally tight.
Everyone stopped laughing.
“Move on?” Hailey asked. “Look, this could have only gone two ways...she was either too hurt to accept another guy into her life, or too enraged to care anymore and gave it a try with whoever crossed her path first, just to get back at you somehow.” At my shocked expression, she quickly added, “But knowing Ellie, knowing how much she loves you, I’m inclined to think the first assumption is the correct one.”
“Jeez.” Tom swallowed. “I’m afraid to think which one you’d choose, babe.”
Hailey’s eyes narrowed at him. “You don’t want to give me a reason to have to make a choice like that, hon.” She poked her finger into his chest hard enough to push him back.
Even though we knew they were playing around, and we all laughed at his expense, I couldn’t shake off that uneasy feeling for the entire flight.
The flight to Paris seemed to take forever, and I shifted so much in my seat, unable to rest or find a comfortable spot, that the elderly lady sitting next to me had asked me more than once if I was feeling sick. Not even listening to her gushing on and on about her grandkids and their antics could ease my mind. After a while I stopped listening to her and ignored her altogether, but that didn’t make her stop. It was only when she finally fell asleep that I got a reprieve from her constant yapping.
It was three o’clock in the afternoon when we exited the Charles De Gaulle airport with our luggage in tow. We were staying at the Marriott hotel on the Champs- Élysées, where Lauren had booked us three rooms. Once there, I didn’t waste any time admiring the beauty of that place and headed straight to the reception area. Soon we were shown to our rooms, and after taking a quick shower, we met again at the hotel’s restaurant to have something to eat.
“We need a plan. I simply don’t know where to start. I’ve only been to Paris a couple of times before. I don’t know the city that well, and she could be anywhere. This place is darn huge. Maybe we should split.” I suggested.
“Oh, no...I’m not leaving you alone.” Chris was quick to intervene.
“You and Caroline can go with Tyler, while Tom and I will go on our own.” Hailey offered, pulling out a map of the city and spreading it on the table. “No matter what, I don’t want you to lose hope. We all know what we came here to do and what we signed up for.” She reached for my hand and squeezed it. “Though I think it’s highly unlikely that we’ll just bump into her on the streets in a big place like this, with so many people walking around. She’s tried real hard to cover her tracks if it took the detective so long to find out—”
“The point is, Hailey,” I leaned forward, “we’ve got no other choice at the moment. She’s here somewhere, and I’m gonna find her somehow. I can’t wait in my hotel room for a phone call to tell us her exact location. It could take him an hour, a day, a week, a month...I don’t want to wait anymore. I need to go out there, and I’m gonna walk every single one of these streets,” I pointed at the map, “if I have to. I’m not stopping until I find her.”
“What Hailey meant to say, bro’,” Tom chimed in, “is no matter the outcome or how hard our task may prove to be, have faith that you’ll be reunited again. We’ve already made some progress. At least we know the city she’s in.”

Determined and Derailed by Gracie Wilson...

Determined and Derailed

What happens when you stumble upon something you can’t turn a blind eye to? In one blinding instant my life is turned upside down. During all the chaos that has become my life, I find friendships are tested, loyalties are betrayed andthose left whom I love are put in danger or killed. I can only count on me. Three men are in my life, but they each have their own motives. My only motive is to make it out of this alive. I don’t even know if that is possible My name is Alexis Storm and my answer to the storm which my life has become is to fight back at all costs – to survive.

“I’m Alexis Storm and you must be Cohen Price.” He nodded with agreement. “Pleasure to meet you, Miss Storm.” Oh, God, no, the pleasure is all mine. I didn’t say that, though. God, why was I thinking that way, that was embarrassing. I knew I’d be twenty tomorrow, but he made me feel like I was fifteen again. “Mr. Price, please have a seat, I have so much I’d like to discuss.” He gave a small smile and I was stunned again. Did he know the effect he had on women? He must. “Please call me Cohen.” I nodded to give him my reply, as my words were still lost. He went over his resume, his achievements and I must say they were quite exceptional. It was no surprise that Maxwell Finch recommended him for the job when I signed his contract. “You’re most definitely qualified. However, with your recommendation coming from Mr. Finch I worry it may be a conflict of interest. I am looking for someone to stay on and work other contracts, not just his. I need complete confidentiality and you will have to sign paperwork stating all of this.” He waited, and then told me something shocking. “I am not fond of Maxwell. He can be an arrogant prick and he knows he can be because people want his business. I will never be the employee who sits back and says ‘yes, Mrs. Storm’ just because I think it’s want you want to hear. I will tell you the blunt truth whether you’d like it or not.” Well, that was not what I expected. “You’re perfect.” Oh, wow, had I just said that? I was sure there was a blush on my face. He was just staring at me and I knew he was holding back a laugh. “For this job I am going to need someone who will be honest and not worry about hurting the boss’ feelings. I don’t need you to tell me that everything is roses. I want the truth. I feel this is a good fit. Wouldn’t you, Cohen?” His eyes were drilling right into me, they had me pinned to him and this was a disaster. “Definitely.”

Revelations By Izzibella Beau...

Revelations (When Separate Worlds Collide1)

What happens when two totally different people from two separate worlds collide? This is the story of Zach and Emily, their family, their friends, and what happens when the truth finally becomes known and love might not be able to save the
m. Welcome to West Lakes, a place where your friends and family may not be who they seem. This is a world where it’s not the dark you should be afraid of, but what could be waiting for you inside that darkness – that’s what should terrify you the most.

The leaves started to create their own spiraling tornado as the wolf came up beside her. It lay in the grass with its head on its front paws. It was the shiniest of black and the grayness of its eyes were of complete contrast with the rest of its coloring. Madison no longer felt terrified as the wolf looked at her with recognition. It was as if she knew this wolf from somewhere, even though she’d never met a wolf in these parts before. “Thank you to the wind I have called. Now it is time for you to be released and return again another day. Blessed be and be on your way.” Madison recited the rite to have the wind stop and return to the normalcy that it once was.
Jacob was astonished of what Madison had just done and also for the fact that she didn’t run off screaming because of the big bad wolf coming up to her. His wolf lay beside her and Jacob felt the wolf’s content as he was with his supposed mate. He could hear her heartbeat and the rhythm showed no hints of anxiety from him being so close. Madison said some other words and the flames on the candles went out without her having to do much more.
Madison looked over at the wolf lying beside her. He was much larger than she was expecting when he had first come up to her. She was seated in an upright position and even lying down the wolf’s back was level with her head. There had never been any sighting or news talk about this type of creature spotted in the West Lakes area. She knew that a normal girl her age would run away screaming, but she felt more relaxed with him near than she had felt in years. Madison wanted to run her fingers through the thick silkiness of his fur. She slowly lifted her hand so she wouldn’t startle him with any movement that she did. His big gray eyes looked right into hers and she knew he wouldn’t do anything to harm her if she touched him. The fur around his neck felt like finest of cashmere. It was so silky and smooth, she just wanted to keep running her fingers through it all day.
The wolf was in total utter bliss. His mate was showing all the signs of contentment of him being near. Jacob started to feel a little scared at this whole scenario. This wasn’t supposed to be happening, at least not with her. He had to get himself out of this situation before his wolf decided to never leave.
“Well, I have to get going,” Madison spoke to the wolf as if he understood what she had said. He looked at her with kindness written in his eyes. She stroked the fur around his neck one last time. She honestly didn’t know if she’d ever see this beautiful creature again, but something deep within her told her this wasn’t their first or last meeting. She stood, as did the wolf. They were almost eye level when standing.
‘Noooooooo,’ Jacob screamed out at his wolf as he knew what he was going to do. The wolf stepped closer to Madison and in one swift movement licked her from the base of her neck, along her cheek, and up to her temple of the side of her head. In human form that would have been considered a full blown out kiss, but in wolf terms it meant he had just marked her as being his own. Every ‘were’ out there would be able to smell his scent on her. Finally, Jacob gained some control and forced his wolf to turn away. He ran back toward the tree line from which he had entered. He turned around once he knew she could no longer see him. She was staring off in the direction he’d gone with her hand in the air like she was saying goodbye.
