Mystical Wonders with Author Karen Cino...

Ten Things You Didn’t Know About the Mystical Wonders Series

  1. I wrote Circle and Friends and Second Chances during Nanowrimo.
  2. Each morning I walk down at the boardwalk plotting out each scene in every book.
  3. I wrote a detailed outline of every book in the series.
  4. I edited the entire series sitting on the beach.
  5. The Intimate Moments Beauty Salon setting is really my friends Beauty Salon, Hair For You on Fingerboard Road in Staten Island.
  6. The Finn and The Noir are fictitious names for restaurants I frequently visit on Staten Island.
  7. The idea of The Right Call came to me on a road trip down to North Carolina.
  8. Survival I wrote after seeing the devastation first hand the day after Hurricane Sandy.
  9. The situations in Survival were after the collaboration of dozens of stories from victims.
  10. The series all take place on the East Shore of Staten Island, New York.

Comedies, New Releases & An Awesome Giveaway with Julie Lynn Hayes. Who wants a FREE Print Book?

They don’t make comedies like they used to.

Nowadays, you don’t see comedians like the Marx Brothers, or WC Fields, or the Keystone Cops. Groucho Marx could elicit belly laughs just by the way he rolled his eyes or waggled his thick painted-on eyebrows. The Keystone Cop films were famous for their chase scenes—just good old-fashioned fun—while Harold Lloyd swung perilously off the end of a clock hand.
As a kid, I watched the Marx Brothers and WC Fields, Joe E Brown and Mae West. One of my favorite scenes in the Marx Brothers many hilarious films comes from A Night at the Opera. The boys are in their stateroom on the ocean liner, and it’s one of the most famous comedy sequences ever in which any number of people end up inside this tiny stateroom, and you sit in the audience wondering who else can possibly fit.

There were also romantic comedies too, films like Jimmy Cagney in Boy Meets Girl, in which he presents the formula for every love story ever told: boy meets girl, boy loses girl, boy gets girl. Of course, it’s fun to turn that trope around and change it to: boy meets boy, boy loses boy, boy gets boy. Because two men in love? You can never go wrong, right?

I loved Doris Day as I was growing up, and she made some very funny romantic comedies. In one, she was dragged out of bed by an irate Rock Hudson and carried through the streets in her pajames to the scene of the crime—the bachelor pad she had so viciously “decorated” for him, thinking he was nothing more than a playboy on the  make. In another film, The Glass Bottom Boat, Doris got a job with the Space Agency and met a handsome astrophysicist, played by Rod Taylor, who took a liking to her, but the suspicious people at NASA thought Doris was a Russian spy, and things just went crazy from there... Of course, all’s well that ends well. You can’t very well have a romantic comedy that ends badly, that makes it a tragedy, doesn’t it?

That’s what I’ve tried to do with Yes, He’s My Ex. It started out as a flash fiction on  my blog, a simple story about an ex-boyfriend who couldn’t seem to get it through his thick head that they were over. But then things began to happen. A cry for help leads Tim into a race to save Sonny. Goofy gangster, a dumb ex-boyfriend, and the FBI... what else can happen to Sonny and Tim? Read Yes He’s My Ex and find out!
Thanks for having me here today, it’s been fun!

Blurb:
Sometimes Sonny Scrignoli forgets he’s Tim Mansfield’s ex. He waltzes in and out of Tim’s apartment like he still lives there, driving Tim crazy. Is it really so hard to remember they’ve broken up? Then again, maybe Tim should quit having sex with him.

When Sonny disappears for two weeks, Tim can’t help but be concerned. A strange phone call and a mysterious cry for help leads Tim on a desperate search for his ex.

Sonny’s in big trouble, and it’s Tim to the rescue! He’s the only one who can save his ex from a fate worse than death. Bumbling gangsters, a thick-headed former boyfriend, and secretive FBI agents lead Tim and Sonny on a merry chase full of laughs and quirks.

Excerpt:
Sonny’s real name is Mario, but he’s been called Sonny since he was a small bambino, as his mother puts it, so Sonny it is. Sonny stands almost six foot tall in his bare feet, which are surprisingly small for a man, almost dainty. He has chocolate brown hair that grows thick but not long, and generally looks tousled; blue eyes so dark that sometimes they look purple in the proper light, framed behind silver wire spectacles; a generous nose and wide sweet lips which have been known to give the most amazing head this side of anywhere. Put that with the body of an Adonis, and you have Sonny.
I had Sonny, but not anymore. He seems not to realize that, though. At least not most of the time. Hence the part where I see him more often than should be considered normal for someone who’s my ex. Which is where I began.
Sometimes I think he forgets that he has indeed attained that past participle ex-boyfriend status. Granted, it’s only been six months. His mother tells me he just needs time to adjust, please don’t be too hard on her boy. Yes, I still see her too. On a rather regular basis, in fact. Hard not to, when she’s my mother’s best friend. Lucky me. Lia’s a nice lady, I love her to death. But she has this deep-seated belief that Sonny and I are going to get back together again, a belief he seems to share. Along with my mother. And most of our friends.
No one seems to listen to me when I say snowballs rolling along the floor of Hell have a better chance of survival than our relationship. Least of all Sonny. I guess that’s why he keeps coming over here, because in some strange deranged naïve corner of his mind, there’s still an us, and he isn’t an ex. So he wanders over whenever he wants. Sometimes he calls, sometimes he doesn’t. Today he called.
Sometimes I just get tired of telling him no. Some days I don’t even get that far. Today, I didn’t want to waste my breath, so I just said, “Fine. As long as you promise to behave.”
By behave, I mean quit assuming we’re going to have sex. Even if sometimes we do. I know, I know, he’s my ex, right?
Sometimes I just don’t know where to draw that fine line, I think. No wonder the boy’s confused.

Meet the author:
Julie Lynn Hayes was reading at the age of two and writing by the age of nine and always wanted to be a writer when she grew up. Two marriages, five children, and more than forty years later, that is still her dream. She blames her younger daughters for introducing her to yaoi and the world of M/M love, a world which has captured her imagination and her heart and fueled her writing in ways she'd never dreamed of before. She especially loves stories of two men finding true love and happiness in one another's arms and is a great believer in the happily ever after. She lives in St. Louis with her daughter Sarah and two cats, loves books and movies, and hopes to be a world traveler some day. She enjoys crafts, such as crocheting and cross stitch, knitting and needlepoint and loves to cook. While working a temporary day job, she continues to write her books and stories and reviews, which she posts in various places on the internet. Her family thinks she is a bit off, but she doesn't mind. Marching to the beat of one's own drummer is a good thing, after all.  Her published works can be found at Dreamspinner Press, Amber Quill Press, MuseitUp Publishing, Torquere Press, and eXtasy Books, and coming soon to Wayward Ink Publishing and Prizm Publishing. She has also begun to self-publish and is an editor at MuseitUp.

Undressing for Love with Author David Russell...

Undressing for Love
(*NB: the terms 'Girl' and 'Boy' signify someone over 18)

For me, sex is nothing without refined, dramatic foreplay. Dressing and undressing are the kingpin of that foreplay. There are five basic kinds of un-robing which can be brought into any encounter.

1. Girl* undresses in front of boy: any girl that takes the disrobing initiative can get really proud and confident, and pre-establish her control over the love scene. Girls: do a self-striptease in front of the mirror; love the sight of your bodies. say - however great you look in any outfit, you look ten times lovelier with your clothes off.

2. Boy* undresses in front of girl: come on: get over your shyness, boys. Do your own self-striptease: do as the girls do.

3. Boy undresses girl: every boy should know how to disrobe a girl properly, and make her feel great as her gorgeous body is revealed.

Girl undresses boy: be liberated, girls. How many boys, deep inside, want to be your beautiful hunks, your sex-objects. (And they also have their feminine side).
Boy and girl undress each other: great to alternate – each partner taking off each other's garments in sequence (OK: the alternation can be made with 1 & 2).

Any couple fancying each other should first get a mutual eyeful at a workout center or a swimming pool. Swimsuits proclaim beauty and allure, They have an air of mystery; they get the imagination going. Arms and legs moving in the water evoke the pulsing rhythms of love. I imagine beautiful girls doing the backstroke giving themselves to me in total love.

Great to go through a few wardrobe changes within one love session. Start off both comfortably dressed for preliminary necking and petting. Skin-tight gear is really uncomfortable for this, so try something looser. Girls: make sure the zip on your jeans us easy to handle, or wear a skirt that is easy to lift during petting. You must offer some token thigh to lead your boy on, and help clinch your control of him.

Great to start the ecstatic process while your French kisses are really hotting up on the sofa, getting longer, breathier, deeper. Girls: hold the crown of your boy's head as he curls tongues with you; unbutton his shirt, feel down his torso and back, start to undo his trousers. Boys: put one arm around your girl's waist; with the other, gently raise her skirt, feel her thighs, unbutton her blouse, feel her back, press her breasts inside her  bra. don't undo it yet. and if you can do all this while holding a kiss, it's fabulous.

You're probably lying on the sofa at this point. Now stand and face each other. Let skirt and trousers fall. Show yourselves to each other as if you were modelling. Have a really tight embrace in your underwear; keep it on for the moment. boys: now undo your girl's bra, and do it gently, delicately – watch those flimsy shoulder straps. Girls: lift your arms in the air as he does it. You conquer him through the gesture of surrender.

Now – to build up more suspense, a wardrobe change. One of you stay in the bedroom or lounge to change, the other go into the bathroom.

Some wardrobe ideas – swimwear. This can be great, bringing the beach into the bedroom. Boys: build up a collection of boxer shorts and trunks of different shapes and sizes. Don’t be shy: try them on in front of the mirror. See which you look/feel sexiest in. Girls are turned on by boxer shorts – but trunks, right proportion in the right light, can give that second wave.

Girls: try on your one-pieces, bikinis, lingerie and body stockings in front of the mirror; get high on your auto-erotic kicks. See which is really you, at your strongest and sexiest. (I feel that 40's and 50's retro one-pieces still have the edge; interested to hear readers' opinions. Or how about wearing swimsuit under lingerie? One extra layer gives more suspense, and a bit of see-through more still.)
Put on tee-shirts and shorts. Imagine you meet and fall for each other on the beach. Peel off each other's shirts, tops and shorts – strip each other for glorious athletic action. (Girls: you may prefer a bathrobe to a tee-shirt; that's fine.) It's great to feel the adrenalin pushing against
your costumes and against your partner's body as you're poised to plunge for the swim of love. do plenty of hand play around the edges of your suits. Boys: run your hands down in sweeping curves over your girl's bra and cleavage, and down her back. Feel inside her bra if it's not too tight. Do the same on her hips. Girl: feel your boy's hips and thighs by the edge of his trunks.

Turn the lights down low as you finally remove your costumes. Good to stand up and do so before you finally go to bed. Boys: taking off a glamorous one-piece takes a steady hand; cultivate one. Girls: some sexy trunks have knotted waistbands; be practiced with knots.

Other ideas: Boys: uniforms and period gear. Girls: if you can get flowing ball gowns, that's marvellous. It's one of my favorite turn-on's to see a girl stepping out of a voluminous, or a skimpy, gown to show off a swimmer's body. Schoolgirl gymslips are wonderful for petting.

A really good two-way strip can lift either/both of you up to a great androgynous feeling, break down your barriers with each other. So, macho woman and feminine man, get it together. Great, beautiful sex can free you from the constrictions of your gender categories.

Enrich your love lives with a good (un)dress sense.

But don't forget to fit the condoms into the program.

David Russell

Excerpt

Here, she was on a beach, pure and simple. Now the sea breathed heavily, whispering and murmuring to her. It was returning her stare, speaking to her. It was the spirit of love, beckoning her with a pulsing, sinewy body. In all its lines, shades, and fleeting forms, Selene saw the essence of pure beauty, all grace of form, flesh, limb and feature. It was in one, all the lovers of whom she could possibly dream, conflated into one elemental ideal. He, pure love in soul, bade her to enter his domain and make it hers. His arms moved her hands to unclasp, unbutton, and unzip . . . the blossom emerged. The sun became the eye of all that was not earth, and Selene loved fully, though the pallor of her skin left her momentarily abashed.

At first she lay in the tide's path, the top of her head at its most extreme mark. The sand bank made a soft bed. The sea lover smoothly caressed her calves, thighs, hips, breasts, shoulders, and cheeks before retreating to pause in his mossy pinnacles. Three times this action was repeated, and then Selene stood up, wading in with arms outstretched. Her arms were linked, as she stood up to her neck in the saline flow. The balls and heels of her feet wobbled, slithering on the moss. With the next wave, she lost her balance – her breath prepared in unison with the hissing around her. She threw her head back, once again horizontal, and launched into a backstroke, sweeping and circling. She parted her legs wide with each thrust of motion, each sweep of self-propulsion pushing out to answer the cavernous currents of his passion.

Ashlynne Laynne is back with her HOT Vampire Series & An Awesome GIVEAWAY. Check it Out!

I’m beyond excited to be here today. Labelle Book feels as much home as my website and blog. I adore Jennifer. She’s always welcomed me to her cyber home with open arms.

Today, I’m here to tell you a little about the fifth book in the Progeny Series. Yearning is meant to be a companion novel for Blood Reborn and follows the exact time frame as book four. It is Katy McCutchin and Gabriel Rousseau’s first book and takes us deeper into the parallel world of Shauna and Ascher’s equally bonded siblings.

This book will join two others to become a series within the Progeny Series that will chronicle the same time periods of Shauna and Ascher’s books, but through the eyes of Katy and Gabe. The one thing that I’ve learned while I’ve been writing this series is that this couple also have a story to tell. Theirs is a story of acceptance, forgiveness, and a passion for one another that will burn for eternity.

In the beginning, Katy and Gabe were just meant to live in the background and support Ascher and Shauna’s characters. The more I got to know them, the more unique and fantastic these two became. Then I thought, why not give them their own book and see where it goes. I am proud to say that I loved where Yearning took them, and am enjoying writing the next book in their miniseries.

I come bearing gifts today. One commenter will receive both an e-copy of Yearning when it releases and the book that parallels Yearning—Blood Reborn. To be eligible you will need to:

One: Leave a good email address and your name in the comments
Two: Answer today’s question:

If you could be any mythical being for a day, what would it be and why?

The contest will close on May 15th and is opened internationally. The winner will be announced in the comments section of this post on May 16th. With that said and done, here is an exclusive excerpt from the upcoming Yearning.

YEARNING: A BLOOD REBORN NOVEL (The Progeny Series #4.5)
“Destiny will not be denied.”

Like their siblings, Katy McCutchin—a powerful double Wiccan with otherworldly powers—and Gabe Rousseau—a full-blooded vampire—are destined. They’ve conquered many obstacles to be together. With their relationship at a crossroads and chaos erupting all around them, it’s time to take the steps that will finally link them for eternity.

Exclusive Labelle Books First Excerpt from Yearning (Warning: This is an 18+ excerpt that contains adult language and sexual content. Continue reading having been warned.)

He gripped her waist as everything in his eyesight muddied with blood and lust. What the hell? He was centuries old and should be able to control himself, yet she was unraveling him, stroke by agonizingly delicious stroke. “Christ. Katherine, please slow down. I’m going to—” The cuticles on his fingers tingled as the claws sprang from them.
“Ah.” Katy grasped his ass from behind, forcing him deeper into her snug warmth.
“Damn it!” The fangs in his mouth pulsated with mind scrambling desire and the need to sink them into her—her drunken state the only thing deterring him.
“Don’t be afraid. I want you to come.” Her tongue dragged across the arm he held tight around her neck. “Harder.”
Gabe’s sanity frayed, his body responding to sensation, emotion, and basic physical need. Winding his hands in her hair, he stayed her movements, using his own force to slam into her several times.
I’m officially out of control.
“Oh, Gabriel.” Katy inhaled a sharp breath, moaning his name as she absorbed the punishing lunges. “Yes.” She met each of his forward thrusts with a backward thrust of her own, their bodies an endless circle of love and desire that met somewhere in the middle. “Come on. Really give it to me.”
“It’s too rough.” The words came from his mouth even as the pleasure plateaued, heightening to the point that he could no longer contain it. She was close, and the rippling of her muscles only drove him to drive deeper until he reached her limit. His vision blurred as he dropped from the ledge of reason.
“I love it rough.” A chorus of his moaned name came with the shuttering of her sex around him. Her posture softened, her heart thundering inside her heaving chest.
“Ahhh, Katherine.” Blinded by crimson-clad desire fueled by ecstasy, Gabe’s neck craned as he succumbed to a climax that forced a hedonistic growl from his mouth. It had been centuries since he’d been in love, but even then it was never like this.
Katy let out a long sigh… a sweet mix of satisfaction and relief.
His world rocked to the core, Gabe turned her and wrapped her in his arms, kissing the salty softness of her neck. “I love you.” He swaddled her into his chest. “I love you so damned much, Katherine—too much.”
Tears flooded her eyes at his rare admission of affection. “And I you.”

Ashlynne Laynne is a songwriter, poet and author of erotic paranormal and contemporary romance, who has always had a soft spot in her heart for vampires but grew tired of the garlic fearing, sun-loathing creatures of old. An avid horror movie fan, she tends to enjoy media and music that is of a younger, more eclectic nature. This was the catalyst for her writing The Progeny.

She loves writing on the edge—combining the erotica and romance genres—and thinks of Ascher and Shauna as the wicked, damned version of Romeo and Juliet. She is currently working on books six and seven of her Progeny Series, book one of her upcoming Alterity Series, and several novella spin offs. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, reading and spending time with her family. She juggles the hats of wife, mother, full time employee and part-time writer, hoping to write exclusively one day soon. Find and follow her online on Twitter. Check out her Manic Readers page, Blog and Website, or leave a note in her Reader Email.

At its core, The Progeny Series is simply about a man and woman who fall in love. The fact that he’s a half-blood (half-human, half vampire) and she’s a Wiccan human are secondary factors. When we meet Ascher, he’s grumpy. Frankly, who could blame him? He’s engaged to seal to Ursula—a cold and careless vampire who wants nothing more than to get her hands on a bloodstone— and he feels conflicted about his existence.

All of that changes when he meets Shawnette McCutchin. She’s beautiful, intriguing and possesses some of the most potent blood that he’s ever smelled. A war immediately begins inside Ascher. He craves Shauna’s blood just as much as he craves her body and the closer they get, the harder it is for him to control his urges. After Ascher calls off the sealing to Ursula, the trouble begins. His family’s peaceful period ends when Ursula’s army attacks the Rousseaus.

This series encompasses a family dynamic of which we’ve never seen. The Rousseaus share a common mortal and immortal bloodline, but loyalty is the thread binding this clan. Shauna and Ascher’s dissuaded love only strengthens the family bonds. Their unique union transcends bloodlines and completes the prophecy, defying the beliefs of centuries old covenants while shattering the wall between the Wiccan and vampire worlds that has existed for ages. This series is erotic paranormal romance intended for adults, as it contains adult sensuality, language and themes.

Who wants a Treasure Box full of Goodies & Some Good Old Western Romance? Join Sara Walter Ellwood on her 2nd Honeymoon Book Tour...

My Texas Towns—Welcome to McAllister and Colton

When you crack open the cover of any one of my contemporary western romances—Gambling On A Secret, Gambling On A Heart or Heartstrings—you are also opening the door to two very special little towns in Texas. What makes these towns special? Because they both are totally my towns. I invented them. But I didn’t do so without a lot of research and modeled them both after real towns. McAllister is very close to Clarendon, Texas, in geography, size and economy. And Colton resembles Clifton, Texas.

McAllister, Texas is  just east of Amarillo near the Salt Fork Red River in the Panhandle, and Colton, Texas, set about 60 miles south of Dallas. Both of these towns are seeped in history and Texas pride. So, in good Southern hospitality, c’mon in, hang your hat, and grab a glass of sweet tea—or a long neck bottle of brew or even a shot glass Jack. I’ll show you around the little town that I spend a lot of time in (well, at least my mind does)—Colton, Texas.

In The Colton Gamblers, Forest County gets its name from the oak forests that covered the land along the creeks running through it, but the majority of the land is grassland. Colton comes from the shortening of the original name for the cattle town Cole’s Town, which took its name from Judge Cole Cartwright, one of the founding fathers.

The frontier town was nothing more than a Southern Baptist Church, a general store, a one-room school, and the all-important saloon. The large oak tree in the center of the town eventually became the spot for the courthouse. Fitting, considering it was from the massive branches the town’s founders hung anyone who questioned their law.

Today, the saloon is still standing and is still an important outlet after a long day to catch a beer and to listen to the local band. Several other churches joined the Baptists, and the educational system includes the small university, Colton College. And the old oak tree still stands before the courthouse as a reminder of Wild West justice.

The people of Colton have a sense of community and look out for each other. They are patriotic to a fault, but proud of their Southern heritage.

In both McAllister and Colton, the people love good music, football, rodeo and gossip. But don’t let the idyllic quaintness fool you as the heroes and heroines of Gambling On A Secret, Gambling On A Heart and Heartstrings are about to find out.

Murder, theft, deceit, fraud and secrets are about to shake these little towns to their very foundations.

And the only way to survive is to rediscover the only thing that matters….

Love.

Gambling On A Secret

Excerpt:
“Stay with me for a little while.” Her voice was warm as good Southern whiskey and just as intoxicating. “I don’t want to fight this thing between us anymore. I don’t want to be alone.”
“Me either.” Slowly, he slid his hands over the soft cotton covering her back. She shivered and her lips parted.
He lowered his mouth to hers, and she opened to accept the full thrust of his tongue. She tugged on his t-shirt, and skimmed her hands over the skin under the hem. He groaned deep in his chest as she raked her nails over the small of his back, jolting his already excited erection.
When he tried to retreat from the battle of dueling tongues, she sucked on his, wrenching a long, deep moan from him. His hands held the curve of her behind, but it wasn’t enough. He wanted to touch her flesh.
She broke the kiss long enough to pull his t-shirt over his head. Before he knew what she was doing, her hands were on his belt. He caught her by the wrists and stripped her of her shirt and bra. She tugged off her boots and shimmied out of her jeans between gut-twisting kisses.
She stood before him wearing only a diamond studded belly button ring and a pair of stretch lace, pink panties. Freckles, millions of them, speckled the creamy porcelain of her skin. Like springs caught in a blacksmith’s fire, her red-gold hair fell around her face and shoulders and down her back to her waist. The sexy pout puckering her lips and the heavy-lidded eyes caught and held his.
He knew she wasn’t innocent, but something about the way she looked made him think she was far more experienced than he’d initially thought.
“Are you sure we should do this?” His voice came through as a low rumble.
Charli flashed him a wicked grin. She skimmed her right hand over the Special Forces tat and the puckered nipple on the left side of his chest. He shuddered when she leaned in and flicked her hot tongue over the point and ran her hands down his body to the fly of his jeans. She’d already opened the belt. She lowered the zipper and purred against his skin. “Don’t you dare get all noble on me now."

Gambling On A Heart

Excerpt:
“I was hoping you could keep me company this afternoon.” He skimmed his fingers over her cheek.
Her insides, heating up like lava under the surface of the earth, pooled in her low belly. Her lips parted.
Against her lips, he whispered, “Tracy, I want you.”
She had thought of little else since he’d left her standing on her porch Friday night. He was asking her to enter into a sexual relationship without any hope of a future--without love.
But she was already in love with Zack.
Both of their kids would benefit from them being together. Hadn’t that been what she’d decided while she tossed and turned in her big, empty bed?
With her gaze locked on his, she murmured, “I want you, too, but I have a stipulation.”
He leaned back. “What is it?”
“I’m no one’s bed-buddy, Zack. I know what my reputation is in this town, but it’s all wrong.” She swallowed her rapidly thumping heart back into place. “I’ll only go through with this, if you promise to treat me as a serious girlfriend. That means we date, we visit with our families and we share our kids.” When his expression hardened, she quickly added, “Mandy likes me. And I adore her. I’d like to bring her here, to the shop, for a few hours and play. And take her shopping. I know your mom tries, but she’s busy with her foundations and charities she does for the Junior League.”
The breath she sucked in was full of Zack’s scent of sage and leather. “Meanwhile, you can teach Bobby how to ride and maybe take him to the sheriff’s department and show him around. Jake won’t like it, but I’ll deal with him.” Having laid her demands out on the proverbial table, she held her breath, waiting for him to tell her what she could do with herself. After all, a man of Zack’s caliber could have any damned woman he wanted. Tracy was just handy, and according to the gossip of her ex-husband and mother-in-law, she was easy.
He studied her for a few moments. “That’s more than one stipulation.”
“Take it or leave it.”
“Tracy, it won’t change what I told you Friday night. I’m never getting married again.”
His words stung as much now as they had the other night, but she didn’t show him how much. She kept her face determined, as if she were haggling over one of his horses, rather than her body and soul.
“Fine. But I’m not a floozy. Yes, I’ve made mistakes. But I have my son to consider. And I’d hope you’d feel the same about Mandy. They’re bound to see us together. What do you plan on telling your six-year-old daughter when she asks about me? That I’m your friend with benefits? I know that isn’t what I want to be teaching my son.” Moreover, she didn’t want to give credence to Jake’s claim that she had no sexual morals.
“Okay,” he said at last. “We’ll play the game your way.” He pressed her against him. “Luck would have it I’m off this afternoon, too. I’ve already put in sixteen hours.”
When his lips captured hers, she knew she’d made a pact with the devil, but she couldn’t stop the elation surging through her. There was something he wanted from her. Sex was a big portion of it, but something else kept Zack from walking away and hooking up with any one of the many available women in town.

Heartstrings

Excerpt:
Abby closed the pearl snaps of his shirt and wobbled through the kitchen. She lifted the collar and breathed in Seth’s scent. She loved the way he smelled and tasted.
The shirt barely covered her, but there was no way she’d walk around the house completely nude. She could only imagine what he’d think of her pudgy belly and full hips if he’d taken the time to actually look at her. She turned on the light over the sink and filled a glass with water.
She swallowed the cold sip and closed her eyes. What had she done?
“Hey, I came back from the bathroom to find you gone.” Seth entered from the hall, running his fingers through his tousled hair, and as nude as the day as he was born. Her gaze traveled over his amazing body, and he watched her as if unable to get enough of her either.
He sauntered toward her and wrapped his arms around her. “Damn. Too bad Urban’s already done that one.”
“What’s that?”
“You look good in my shirt,” he said, referring to a Keith Urban hit song. “But you look even better without it.”
Heat warmed her cheeks, and she leaned up to place a kiss on his lips. “You just plain look good...period.”
He removed the glass from her hand and took a sip before setting it on the counter. When he responded to her, she moaned and lifted her leg, bringing herself intimately against him. How could she be so achy for him so soon?
He raised a brow. “You haven’t been anywhere near loved enough, if you can still look at me like that.”
“Like what?”
“Like you want to eat me right up.”
“Maybe I do.”
“Good. Because I’m feeling a little famished myself.” He lifted her, and she wrapped her legs around his waist. She wiggled against his erection. Chuckling low and sensually in her ear, he carried her back to bed. “Trust me, this will definitely be better than chocolate cake."
