A New Release & an Interview with Ryan O'Leary...

Title: Happy To Be Stuck With You

Release date: Out Now

Author: Ryan O’Leary

Genre: Erotic Romance

Love at first sight?

Travis Ross didn’t believe in it until he laid his eyes on a mysterious brunette across the room at a party. From the very first word out of her mouth, Travis is smitten by this feisty little girl with the one letter name.

Just back from Mexico, Travis’ mystery girl is full of surprises, some exquisite and some not so nice, but no matter what fate throws at them, Travis is determined to keep them together, determined to win her heart and make sure she’s happy to be stuck with him forever.

Find out what happened before J got her closet.

1.      How long have you been an author?

I’ve never applied the word “authour” to myself. To me an authour writes for a living, it’s their job and writing isn’t my job so I call myself a writer. I’ve been writing for fun for about 15 years and I’ve gotten better at it, I’ve gotten a clearer vision of how to do it and how to attempt to make money at it, so I’m giving it a shot.

2.      What is your favourite genre?

I like the erotic romance stuff. I dare say that the majority of earth’s population likes sex and I’m no different than them so the erotic stuff is right up my alley. The sex part is great and I enjoy writing it, but the biggest thrill I get is when I’m writing the flirty stuff in the story. It gets my blood pumping when I get to write a scene where there’s a great back and forth between the male and female in the story, that’s where I get my biggest reward as a far as writing the story.

3.      If someone hasn't read any of your work, what book would you recommend they start with and why?
I wrote a series of short stories to introduce the couple I write about. Travis and J are the married couple I tell tales about. The stories are told from Travis’ perspective, not J’s. The short story series is called J’s Closet Volume 1 and is available on Amazon. This is just a volume of shorts to introduce the couple, so if anyone wants to meet them, that’d be the best place to start. I wrote a prequel to these short stories, a novel about how Travis and J got together and that is called Happy To Be Stuck With You. You could easily pickup either book and be ok.

4.      What is the biggest surprise you’ve discovered about the writing process?

Editing. I’d always written for fun, so I’d write a novel, or a short story or whatever, then I’d read it and edit it myself. It was just for fun, so I didn’t really concern myself with grammar and those sorts of things. But now that we’ve had this boom in internet self-publishing and I’m actually making an effort to write things that will sell, I have to get things properly edited, I have to work with an editor and I have to go back and redo things, sometimes more than once. It’s actually a pain in the ass, but something that needs to be done if you want to put out a quality product.

5.      Can you tell us about one of your current works in progress?

I’m currently working with world-renowned author Sable Hunter on the first book in a series we’re writing together. The first book is called Thunderbird and it’ll kickoff the Equalizers series. Basically, the series will be about a group of ex-soldiers who come back from Afghanistan and form a team, kind of liek the A-Team, they go where they’re needed and help people. They’re the Equalizers, they equalize things. The first book, Thunderbird is the story of their leader, Kyle Chancellor. Kyle’s from a rich Texas family. Kyle won the Heisman his last year of college, but chose to go into the service and defend his country instead of going to the NFL. When he gets back after years away, he discovers that his ex-girlfriend has died and he vows to do whatever he can to work towards finding a cure for the disease that claimed her life. He meets a girl named Hannah who has come to America illegally with her father and crippled brother for a better life. Hannah and Kyle meet and have a great time, but fate steps in and they lose track of each other. Kyle is called to run for governor of Texas and while campaigning, he meets Hannah again. I don’t want to ruin it, but there’s lots of twists and turns along the way, action, adventure, sex, romance, and a sex tape. It’s the longest book I’ve ever been a part of and it’s taken Sable and I quite some time to write, but we’ve hit our stride and it’s coming together extremely well. And by the time this interview is posted, the book will either be out already, or very close to being released.

6.      Name one thing readers would be surprised to know about you.

Hmmmm. I’m a pretty open book. I guess what I said above, that I prefer writing the flirty parts to the sex parts.

7.      Name your top three writing goals?

Finish this first book with Sable and get it out. I personally think it’s going to be amazing and I can’t wait for it to be done. I can’t really think of anything else. I’m a horse before the cart kinda guy, I try to finish one thing before moving onto something else, so my concentration is on Thunderbird right now.

Fun Questions -

1.      If you had a warning label, what would it say?

      Highly Addictive.

2.      If you had the chance to meet one of your characters privately, who would it be and what would you do?

It’s have to be J. You’d probably think that my male characters are based on me, but they aren’t, they’re just what I think women would like and that’s the same with J. She’s what I’d want in a woman. She’s attractive, smart, feisty, sure of herself but vulnerable and damaged in her own way. Guys say we hate the drama that comes along with a woman, but secretly we enjoy it, it’s part of what makes a woman a woman and J is a woman. I wouldn’t want to step on Travis’ toes and make a move on his woman, but if J were real, I sure would be tempted to do just that.

3.      What is the naughtiest thing you’ve ever done?

Just one thing? Tough to say, I’ve done a lot of things I’m not proud of and I can assure you they were naughty. I guess having sex in a hot tub while there were other people in it. The naughty part was that the other people didn’t know we were having sex. Good thing those jets stayed on or they would have seen what was going on under the water.

4.      Finally, can you give us your contact links?

Happy To Be Stuck With You

“Maybe a little bit. Don’t worry, you were nothing but a lady last night. I enjoyed every moment we spent together, J.”
“So did I, Travis.”
“You go rest for now. Feel better. I can’t wait to see you tomorrow.”
“I promise I’ll clean myself up by tomorrow.”
“And I promise it won’t matter to me. Don’t put on a drop of make-up and wear your pajamas to dinner, it won’t matter to me. I’m just lucky to spend any time with you.”
“I promise I’ll look better for you, Travis.”
“And I promise I won’t be able to think about anything but you until I finally get to see you again.”
We said goodbye and I laid back on the couch.
“I take it you won’t mind if I give April a call?” Devon asked.
I’d completely forgotten he was there. I looked at our big flat screen. Devon was blasting aliens, or communists or whatever.
My phone beeped before I had a chance to answer him.
A text message.
A text message from J with a picture attached.
I opened it up. She was smiling shyly into the camera, averting her eyes to the left. Her hair was tangled and her mascara was smeared. A simple message accompanied her text. Still want to go tomorrow?
I snapped a picture of me smiling and sent it back to her with a message. No…I want to go right now.
She sent back a picture of her sticking her tongue out.
I laughed. Better put that away unless you’re going to use it.

I turned to Devon. “You need me to give you April’s number? Because I won’t be needing it ever again.”

Loving that excerpt and cover, Ryan. Thanks for sharing!

1.      How long have you been an author?
Virtually my whole life. I started writing –poorly-- when I was six!

2.      What is your favourite genre?
Paranormal/Scifi. I love slipstream fiction where one blends into another.

3.      If someone hasn't read any of your work, what book would you recommend they start with and why?
Consensual—because it’s the first in the series, and it really explains a lot of what’s going on in the books.

4.      What is the biggest surprise you’ve discovered about the writing process?
How much I didn’t know I didn’t know! Having written so long, I didn’t know that there was anything left to learn about the writing process or editing or ... well... anything! And then I got my first manuscript back from the editor.

5.      Can you tell us about one of your current works in progress?
Oh, I have so many, it’s a shame. I’m really excited about paranormal romance that I’m working on piece by piece. It’s a world I’ve been creating for about 20 years and I can’t WAIT to let the readers in. It’s so much fun there!

6.      Name one thing readers would be surprised to know about you.
I’m actually quite painfully shy in social situations where I don’t know people. I have a personality and a half once you know me, but before that, you’d totally mistake me for a wallflower.

7.      Name your top three writing goals?
Keep writing
Keep improving
Keep reading <~ can’t even tell you how important that is!

Fun Questions -

1.      If you had a warning label, what would it say?

2.      If you had the chance to meet one of your characters privately, who would it be and what would you do?
Franz Dorn- and we would have a discussion over a good scotch about life, the universe and everything.

3.      What is the naughtiest thing you’ve ever done?
Let’s just say that it involved a kitchen counter and a cheesecake.

4.      Finally, can you give us your contact links?
Sure can! can see that I’m very hard to find...

“You’ve been avoiding me in the office all week.”
“Because I want nothing more than to tie you up and fuck you,” she said frankly, stepping back. “So unless you want me right here, right now, you should go back to your office. Now.”
Holy Fuckin’ God. Her words filled his cock and made it throb. No woman had ever done that to him before, but he actually found himself torn. He wanted her, more than he’d ever wanted a woman. But at the same time, did he really want to have sex in a supply closet when he had all those rooms at home to choose from? He could imagine her on his master bed, dressed in those thigh highs…
He tried to step forward, but she stopped him with the clipboard.
“Think about it, Nathaniel,” she said. “Stop doesn’t work very well on me. It did yesterday, but I can’t promise it will today.”
He looked at her and blinked lazily a few times. Pushing the clipboard to the side, he made his decision. “Fine. Then don’t stop.” He walked right up to her and pressed himself against her tits. He could feel her nipples poking him like diamonds.
Emmy drew in her breath slowly. “You have no idea what you’re saying.”
“Hell yes, I do,” he said.
“I don’t think so. Not even remotely.”
He leaned in to her ear. “Show me, baby,” he breathed.
Emmy’s eyes flared, and she tugged him back against the shelving unit. “Put your arms above your head, clasp your hands together and keep them there.” She nipped him on the chin, making him groan. “And don’t move till I tell you to.”
The fire in his eyes would have seared flesh. “Oh, damn.”

I'd like to thank Katherine for sharing with us today. It was great getting to know you.
So readers if you'd like one delectably hot read check out Club Imperial today!

Best wishes,

Here’s the excerpt from Forever at Midnight:

Soon, Roarke ended the kiss. Deanna gloried at the pleasure she felt when gold flecks materialized against his pupils. She touched the sides of his eyes.
“I missed seeing those,” she whispered before cupping his face. He turned to kiss her palm. She sighed. “If only for tonight, make love to me again, Roarke. Make love to me so I can forget.”
She saw emotion flit through his eyes before it was gone. Her heart was in her throat, afraid he would refuse. Then his head bent down.
He kissed her again, but this time it was soft and tender, even while his hand was wreaking havoc with her body. Her clit throbbed when he rolled her hardened nipples with his thumb and forefinger before palming her globes lovingly. She closed her eyes, giving in to the moment, her breath coming out in moans and gasps. Then her mouth opened in a silent cry, feeling his tongue flick and suck on her breasts again. She lost all coherent thought, holding on to his shoulders. Lust thundered through her, lighting her up like a fireball.
Roarke scooped her up and walked through the French doors and into the warmth of the loft. With her face against his neck, she inhaled deeply before flicking her tongue and sucking on the pulse at the base of his throat.
“Where?” he growled, his desire unsuppressed.
Mutely, Deanna pointed to the stairs which led to her bedroom. Instead of using the stairs, Roarke catapulted them to the open room's landing with one jump.
There wouldn't be any recriminations tonight. This moment would be for knowing each other's bodies again. To make up for all the lost time.

Thank you so much for having me guest!

It was a pleasure to meet you, Isobelle. Thank you for coming on the blog and sharing with us.

1.      How long have you been an author?
I’ve been writing stories for my own pleasure for many years but I’ve been a published author for a year now. I have the Weekend Getaways Series with Secret Cravings Publishing and the Soul’s Desire Series with Beau Coup Publishing.

2.      What is your favourite genre?
I write contemporary romance intended for mature audiences. I am a romantic at heart and I’ve always enjoyed reading a good romantic story. Now I get to write my own. But I’m also interested in paranormal romance. You see, I was born and live in Transylvania. Here we grew up with the legends and myths about supernatural creatures and I’ve always found them intriguing. I am thinking of writing something in this genre too sometime in the future.

3.      If someone hasn't read any of your work, what book would you recommend they start with and why?
The Guardian Of My Soul – is my first full-length novel and the beginning of a series of books that are based on love, friendship, devotion, loss, fears, insecurities and many other traits that make it more complex and intriguing.

4.      What is the biggest surprise you’ve discovered about the writing process?
I’ve learned a lot along the way because I had the most amazing people to guide me on this journey. I am a lot more relaxed now than I used to be, knowing that my stories are in good hands.

5.      Can you tell us about one of your current works in progress?
Currently I’m working on the sequel to Unforgettable Hearts.
Unforgettable Hearts is a love story, full of passion, friendship, sacrifice, devotion, but also fears and insecurities.
For nineteen-year-old Ellie Benton, having feelings for Tyler Stuart is nothing new. They’d been best friends ever since they were kids, but everything changed when she moved to New York with her family at age twelve. She missed the Californian sunshine and the peaceful Los Angeles neighborhood where she grew up, but above all she missed the copper-haired boy whom she hadn’t seen or spoken to in seven years. Somewhere over the years she fell for him—hard. Tyler was her hero, the man of her dreams, and she mourned his loss every single day. She often found herself wondering what he looked like, if he still remembered her, but the fact that she hadn’t heard from him in such a long time saddened her. Having no other choice, Ellie carried on with her life, but nothing could fill the void he’d left in her heart. Her need for affection pushed her into relationships with men who only ended up breaking her heart and making her feel insecure. Ellie was sad, disappointed, wondering if she’d ever be as happy as she’d been in her home town.
When an unexpected trip reunited her with Tyler and his family after seven long years, Ellie found herself unable to resist the strong pull she felt toward him, nor control the feelings she’d fought so hard to keep at bay. The problem with that? Tyler’s initial reaction at the sight of her was cold, making her question if he’d ever cared about her. She was wrong. Tyler did care about her, more than she’d ever dreamed possible. A series of events led her to discover a new side of Tyler, secrets that turned her soul inside out and brought her more joy than she’d ever experienced. But, as they embarked on a passionate relationship—just when she thought she’d finally found her happiness—demons from their past and present threatened to separate them.
Can their love overcome the obstacles they have to face?

6.      Name one thing readers would be surprised to know about you.
I’m rather shy...until I get to know you better...then you can see the true me. I’m fun and I love a good laugh.

7.      Name your top three writing goals?
Be able to write full time, which is what I’m most passionate about, grow in the Amazon rank, and make the USA Today and New York Times list. But I think that’s probably what every writer wants. So, I’ll take one step at a time. For the moment I really enjoy my writing and all the amazing people I got to meet thanks to it.

Fun Questions -

1.      If you had a warning label, what would it say?
Warning label? Nah...I’m the sweetest person around! Hahaha

2.      If you had the chance to meet one of your characters privately, who would it be and what would you do?
That would probably Ellie Benton, the heroine in Unforgettable Hearts. I put a little bit of myself in her and a part of the story is inspired by something I’ve lived long ago.

3.      What is the naughtiest thing you’ve ever done?
Ha! Now that’s a piece of info I’d rather keep to myself haha. But I’m a romantic at heart. Naughty is not my thing. Unless I’m writing a book. ;)

4.      Finally, can you give us your contact links?

Sure, here’s where you can find me:

Excerpt  - The Guardian Of My Soul

“Be still,” he commanded. His voice was dark velvet, raspy with magic and sex. I stared into his eyes. I didn’t understand the sensations rioting through me. It was frightening. Alec’s jaw clenched. He made a noise—a growl—and suddenly his mouth crushed down on mine and plundered, taking me completely off guard. The kiss warmed me, his tongue tasting until I was panting, furious at myself for wanting more. I writhed against him trying to escape, but he was too strong and demanding. My struggles resulted in my breasts scrubbing across his hard chest, making my nipples feel swollen and heavy, betraying me. I stilled and he finally allowed me to breathe, but I was trapped in his arms.
Alec was breathing harshly, his eyes clashed with mine, then moved down to kiss my swollen lips one more time. I couldn’t handle it, so I jerked my face away. “I want more,” he groaned, releasing my right wrist. With gentle but firm movements he twisted my hair around his hand until I had no choice but to look at him. There was a heat in his eyes which belied the mildness and candor of his countenance. He had no right to appear so in control when my flesh was tight and achy and I needed...
Damn him! Mr. Confusing has done it again.
“Say you never want it to happen again,” he whispered a few inches away from my face, his eyes daring me.
“I...I never want it to happen again,” I replied in a peremptory whisper, ignoring the pulse of need pounding between my thighs.
“Liar...” He freed me from his grip and returned to his horse. He mounted him and then waited expectantly for me to follow him.
I was not sure why I did it, but I fulfilled his silent wish and got up on my horse, joining him. My mind, my emotions and my heart were in total disarray.
