Author Faye Hall's, She's A Lot Like You...

Title: She’s A lot Like You
Release date: 3 April 2014
Author: Faye Hall
Genre: Historical Erotic Romance

Blurb: Willow Jameson knew nothing of her family’s past or their connection to the Morgan family when she first met Re Morgan.  All she seen was his ruggedly handsome appearance, his gentle words luring her into his strong embrace.  What she found was a passion beyond compare.

She couldn’t have foreseen the lies and family betrayal that would inevitably rob her of the man she loved and forever change her life.

Willow returned to the town life she loved so much, no longer ignorant to those who had separated her from the man she’d loved.  She was back now to make those responsible pay for all they’d taken from her.  In her search what she found was the hardened man Re Morgan had become…
…a man whose mere glance reignited a passion she had thought long since forgotten.
Re Morgan had left a horde of jilted lovers in his trail.  When he seen Willow again across the crowded dancehall, he wanted nothing more than to add her to this list.  Re wanted little more than a short, heated affair.
What he became involved in was far more scandalous than he could have ever imagined.

1.      How long have you been an author? I have been writing novels, short stories and poems since school.  I’ve had a few poems published both locally and internationally.  My first novel was published in 2006, and my first novel with Red Sage publishing was published in 2012.

2.      What is your favourite genre? I love romance, of any kind, but I really love steamy, passionate stories that also have a good dose of mystery and scandal too.

3.      If someone hasn't read any of your work, what book would you recommend they start with and why? All my novels are standalone titles, but I would recommend either My Gift to you which was released 2012, or Mistress of Purity, which is yet to be released to anyone.  They are by far my favourite scripts, full of unbridled passions, and suspense around near every twist and turn, and all set in the beauty of 1800’s North Queensland, Australia.

4.      What is the biggest surprise you’ve discovered about the writing process? Just how much work is put into edits.  Being an Australian author I have had to get used to certain words I commonly use in my country that are not used in America where my publisher is.

5.      Can you tell us about one of your current works in progress? Mistress of Purity is my third book, and I’m currently waiting on edits back for it.  It’s set in Sarina, Queensland during the late 1800’s.  It tells of a man ordered back to his family’s estate after his father’s death, to find his newest step mother is the same woman he had spent the night with in the tavern several months before.  There’s a lot of secrets also surrounding his late father’s estate, including a secret hidden in the underground tunnel that ties him and his lady love even closer together.

6.      Name one thing readers would be surprised to know about you. I have several tattoos.

7.      Name your top three writing goals? To write a best seller (Isn’t that every writers dream?), to make a stable living from my writing, and mostly to see a movie made from one of my books.

Fun Questions -
1.      If you had a warning label, what would it say? Loud and handle with caution.

2.      If you had the chance to meet one of your characters privately, who would it be and what would you do? Gareth, from Mistress of Purity, because he is just so much like my husband.  As for what I’d do… you may just have to read that in my next novel…

3.      What is the naughtiest thing you’ve ever done? When I first met my husband I used to meet him in secret at the park.  There was one time a police car actually stopped in front of us, looked at my raised shirt, my husbands hand beneath my skirt, they shook their heads and just drove away.

Finally, can you give us your contact links? website

Embracing Desires (Desires 4) with Holly J. Gill...

Thank you Jennifer for having me on your blog, promoting my forth book in the Desires series

Embracing Desires.

Dan and Stacie are preparing for the biggest day of their lives and everything is perfect. Stacie has her Hen night; Dan his stag night – both in Desires. Angel is being the wonderful host, but all is not what it seems. Five days before the wedding Dan and Stacie find themselves, devastated and destroyed, and on the brink of separation. Stacie feels that her life is falling apart. She cannot breathe or think because of the agony of losing Dan, the man she thought she could trust and spend the rest of her life with. Her world has been shattered. But Dan wants her back. Stacie longs to embrace what is important in her life. When she finds out the truth of what happened will it be too late to save the biggest embrace of all?

She called and waved at Mike when she saw him enter the bar. Mike made his way towards her as she grinned like a Cheshire cat, batted her eyelids, and took hold of his arm, snuggling into his chest “I need a huge favour,” she told him.
“What is that, sexy?”
“I need to swap an item of clothing with you,” she explained while lifting her head to look into his huge blue eyes.
“Any suggestions?” He waggled his brows, adding a grin.
“I think your underwear,” Chrissie spoke out. Stacie turned to her, looking horrified at such a suggestion. No way was she about to remove her skirt and show the restaurant her pussy, but if truth be told hardly anyone would notice. After all, this was Desires.
Stacie hid behind a large musical note chair and removed her tutu. That’s when she noticed Mike’s bare backside. He took off his trunks without any hesitation, clearly used to being naked. She rolled her eyes giggling. He passed her his trunks as she passed him her skirt. She put his trunks on and felt like an idiot because it was too big for her. She came out and saw Mike struggling to get her small tutu on and she was worried he would ruin it. She whipped off her tiara and placed that in his hair and he stood proud with his cock on full show, parading his assets. Mike didn’t care. He strutted around the restaurant without a care in the world, but again when she glanced around, many men had their genitals out so he was nothing out of the ordinary.
Mike arrived back, smiling and shaking his head. “Well that was entertaining.”

Anyone in the mood for a Hot Military Read? Check out Code Name: Nina's Choice by Natasza Waters...

Thanks for welcoming me onboard today Jennifer. I’m Natasza Waters, and I write military suspense and romance. Don’t go running in the other direction until you’ve given one a try. I promise the lingo and acronyms are kept to a minimum. The Navy SEALs in my novels are locked and loaded with valor, strength and make memorable book boyfriends.
I’m writing a series on US Navy SEAL Team One, Alpha Squad. Anyone who enjoys Suzanne Brokmann, will love getting to know these guys. I spent thirty plus years in the Coast Guard, and I have plenty of “book fodder” to draw from. Each novel has a running arc that deals with the issues of serving members. Navy SEALs live hard, play hard, and love hard. If you’re a Canadian, wave the flag, because you’ll always find at least one in my novels. The U.S. and Canada have always been brothers (and sisters) in arms, and kept dark things at bay, together.
I do something that most authors don’t. It’s important that I know the men going on my covers. Most of them have military backgrounds. Two of them are even on my street team, and of course drop by to drive my ladies wild.
The newest book, Code Name: Nina’s Choice, is Petty Officer Mace Callahan’s story who turned out to be a favorite character from the first two books. He’s the heart of the team with Hollywood good looks and muscles out the ying-yang.
Blurb: Nina Samson, an analyst working at Coronado Base Command, lands in Navy sniper Mace Callahan’s lap like an I.E.D. Two weeks of fiery passion with the lithe redhead, and the self-proclaimed bachelor raises the white flag.
Arriving in San Diego, Nina, a single mother with an eight-year-old daughter, spots danger ahead. Mace’s Hollywood goods looks and wicked smile makes her heart run a zip-line of crazy. Lust for the sexy SEAL swiftly turns to fear when he deploys to Syria for a mission.

Mace returns home angry. Believing his injury destroys their future, unable to pleasure any woman, especially one like Nina, he tries to sever their relationship. She deflects every round Mace fires at her heart, determination controlling the helm. Just as the seas calm, fate advances. Another warrior sets his sights on her. Mace will wage war for her heart, but it’s “Nina’s Choice”.

A Warrior’s Challenge series.
Natasza Waters

His palms were pinned against the shower wall. The water splashed down his strong body, magnifying the hollows and swells of his strength. Her breath stuck in her throat seeing the angry wounds. Two long gashes had been stitched down his right thigh, and several across the top of his buttocks. Whatever did this to him had caused severe damage to his hips and groin area.
She didn’t know what to do. Was he having a problem standing, but too prideful to ask for help? Endurance was not a strong suit for him until his ligaments and muscles healed.
He crooked his head at her. “I’m all right.”
His brilliant eyes stared at her filled with restraint and pain. She dropped the towels on the counter and stripped down quickly. Watching him in agony was agony for her.
“Nina, Jesus, woman.” His gaze started at her feet and climbed her body, stalling on her breasts. “I can’t.” His head dropped back, and he clamped his eyes shut in frustration as the droplets rained down his face.
“I’m not suggesting that. I just—want to feel you next to me. I need to know all of you came home, and if not I’ll remind you that you are home.”
Naked. Unsure. She removed another floor tile of distance between them. His head turned, and as long as she lived, she would never forget the look in his eyes. Everyone saw Mace as the heart of the team; the nice guy with an uplifting word. For the first time since she’d known him, the warrior glared at her, and he was angry.
“Leave me be, Nina.”

Book blurb:
Goody, goody Teegan Hallowell was tired of being teased for following the rules. So, when her brother’s sexy friend shows an interest, she rebels, and learns all about the good kind of bad.

Now ten years later, Teegan returns home to escape a horrible mistake, but wonders if she’s made an even bigger one by returning. There was a reason she left Digby, when her dreams shattered and the man she loved betrayed her. So when she realizes she’s still in love with him, matters become complicated when he reveals her reason for leaving him was all in vain.

Liam Bates has every intention of loving Teegan again, but she’s had it rough and he needs to rebuild her trust.  The spark is still there, and as they explore what once was, their love is tested when Teegan disappears, and Liam will stop at nothing until he finds her again.

Jagged rocks aligned across the coastline. The moist salty air was refreshing, and the tide slowly rose against the Fundy Shore. It was good to be home again. Teegan sat on the fallen tree trunk, and tried to capture the beauty of the scenery with her sketch pad.
She hadn’t been there in years and the beauty of it still captivated her. This secluded patch of beach once belonged to Liam’s family and she wondered if it still did. Seeing Liam again brought so much back to her, that she just needed a place to unwind, and some of her most precious memories belonged right where she was.
Smiling, she turned up her iPod and sang along to the lyrics of Shinedown’s Breaking Inside, relating to the lyrics. Subconsciously, she ended up adding a boy and his father fishing right where she sat into the picture. Liam! Why can’t I seem to let you go? Sighing, she almost fell off the log and into the water. Her heart raced, and adrenaline pumped as she wondered who in the Lord’s name snuck up on her like that.
Large arms wrapped around her, pulling her close as his heat enveloped her senses. He was the one man in the entire world who could make her weak in the knees by just being in close proximity to her. The one man she was trying to avoid. Too afraid of her emotions. Oh Lord, he smells so good. Get it together, Teeg. You don’t even know him anymore.
“Liam?” She sounded breathless and winced turning away. She could not let him see how he affected her, could not risk losing her heart again. It hurt too much.
“Hasn’t anyone ever told you not to sneak up on someone like that? Geez, you just about gave me a heart attack not to mention an unwanted swim.” Placing a hand to her heart she turned to face him again only to have the urge to smother his smile with her lips. He was beautiful, and she missed the taste of him.
“It’s good to see you too.” He chuckled, “And there is no way I would have let you fall in. Hasn’t anyone ever told you that this is private property?”
She could tell by the glint in his eye he was only teasing, and she hated how easily he could make her smile. As if, she was eighteen all over again. “Ya, but you see, I used to know one of the owners of said property very well. I have many fond memories here, and I just had to see if it was as remarkable as I remembered it.”
“Well is it?” His face turned serious as he closed the distance between them.
With his closeness distracting her she whispered, “Is it what?”
Before she knew it his head was lowering and her breathing turned rapid. Be careful what you wish for. She could feel his breath against her and all she could think about was the taste of his lips on hers. Soft, plump, and delectable...

by Eve Langlais

Blurb: With the death of Roderick, an evil hybrid vampire, Marc and the other freed wolves should have breathed a sigh of relief. Instead, a new menace has arisen. It will take courage and cunning to battle it–or a cold hearted vampire who, despite his loner ways, not only forms a bond with a shewolf and a rogue, but establishes a New Pack Order.

He embarks on a one man quest to avert disaster, but along the way discovers even a killer can become a hero—and a lover.
Antonia might regret losing her humanity, but with a werewolf and a vampire at her side, she discovers an inner strength and passion to not only live, and fight, but to love, not just one, but two very special men.

Genre: Paranormal/Werewolf Multi Partner Romance (MFM)

"Pack" series order:
Book 1: Defying Pack Law
Book 2: Betraying The Pack
Book 3: Seeking Pack Redemption
Book 4: New Pack Order

*Author’s note: This series is best read in order so that you can understand unfolding events.

Unlike the last time she cried for help, someone answered her call. She managed to stumble in retreat only moments before the door swung open. A tall dark figure bathed in shadows filled the doorway.
Who stood there?
The first thing she noticed was the red eyes. Glowing eyes. She moaned a fearful, “Roderick.”
The menacing shape took a step into the cell and terror melted as she beheld the vampire’s face. Not Roderick, and yet, something about him, something about his presence, his aura, was darkly familiar. The chiseled features of her abductor were anything but evil, though, and she couldn’t help a spurt of happiness he’d answered her call. Her vampire savior back again to the rescue, or her new jailor?
“Don’t fear. It’s me, Thaddeus.”
An interesting name, old fashioned and yet it suited him. “Why am I here? Why have you brought me back? Marc said he burned this place down, how is this possible?”
He arched a brow. “Me? I did nothing. I’ve never visited this dismal location before. I’m afraid this setting is of your doing. You drew me into your dream.”
“So this isn’t real?” He inclined his head, and she heaved a sigh of relief. “Thank God. Once I escaped, I prayed I’d never have to go back.”
“Neither prayer nor God has anything to do with it. My understanding is your will kept you alive until the wolf released you.”
“But who led him to me in the first place?” she sassed back. Look at her, arguing theology with a vampire.
Thaddeus laughed. “A question scholars could debate for centuries and never come to an agreement.”
“Whatever the reason, I’m glad I escaped.”
“As am I.”
“I find that hard to believe. Why would you care?”
Thaddeus stepped further into the cell, a frown knitting his brow as he glanced around the miserable room. “What Roderick did to you was vile, even by vampire standards.”
“How would you know? I haven’t told you anything.” And didn’t plan to. That part of her life was best left in the past, locked away and forgotten.
“You might not have said anything, but I’ve seen glimpses of it in your mind, and from the memories I’ve ingested.”
“Double whoa. What do you mean by seen it and ingested?”
He turned his attention from the cold stone blocks and focused his gaze on her. “Because you were once in thrall to Roderick, your mind is similar to an open book, easy to read for those of us with the power to do so.”
She grimaced. “Great. Nothing like having your worst moments on display.”
“Your secrets are safe with me.”
“I’d prefer you not have them at all. Isn’t there a way of closing the journal of my life?” Before Thaddeus got to the part where she found him attractive. Don’t think of it. Quick, hide that thought. She shoved it behind a door in her mind and locked it. “Isn’t there a mind trick I can learn to prevent you from reading it?”
“I’m afraid the only way you could close yourself off, at least to others, would be to become a thrall once again.”
Not the answer she’d hoped for. Her lips twisted into a moue of displeasure. “You mean become a slave to a vampire.”
“Not all of us treat humans with disdain, some are cherished companions. Friends. Even lovers.” He flashed a seductive smile, one that shot a sizzling heat to her lower belly and curled her toes.
This guy is so dangerous. And sexy. She tried to keep her mind on asking questions, which in retrospect seemed dumb. If she was dreaming, then his answers meant nothing, but it didn’t stop her from having an imaginary conversation. “You said something about ingesting memories. I assume you mean Roderick’s? How and why would you do that?”
“The how is not important, as to the why, simple. With his memories, even if I don’t agree, I can at least understand his actions, and find those he’s weakened.”
“Why would you want to find them? I assure you the asshats he controlled are not worth the effort.” Except for maybe Marc. Unlike the leering and creepy guys who hung around Roderick, Marc seemed to have a decent core.
“They might not be the most preferable of companions, however, they must be located, because if they aren’t, they will either all die or become slaves to those less benign than I.”
There was that dreaded fear again. Like a ball of burning acid, it hurt her chest. “A slave to someone as bad as Roderick?”
“I daresay worse. Roderick might have used you as a peon in his quest to build an army loyal only to him. But my less-compassionate brethren would use you for sick games and torture, and to start a war.”
It hit her in a moment of clarity. “But they wouldn’t go near me if I belonged to you.”
“You think me strong enough to protect you?” His lips curved in a mocking grin.
“Aren’t you?”
Thaddeus laughed. “Yes. But, the better question is, are you asking me to make you mine? To tie your life to mine until we die? Somehow, I think your wolf might object to that.”
“He does.” The growled reply preceded Marc’s entrance into the cell.
Why did it not surprise her that Marc would also make an appearance in her dream?
She tried to articulate her reasoning. “If I let Thaddeus claim me, then the other vampires can’t touch me.”
“We barely know the guy and you’d let him bite you?”
“I barely know you and yet you expect me to mate with you.”
“To protect you.”
“Just like I would protect her,” Thaddeus added. “I actually think it is a brilliant plan. Albeit, without the wolf. Personally, she could probably survive quite well with just me as her guardian.”
“Dream on, bloodsucker.” Marc took an aggressive step forward, but before things could escalate, she stepped between them.
“Both of you, stop it. This is a dream. My dream. And that means I’m the one who gets to decide what happens.”
“Really?” Thaddeus tossed a wicked smile her way. “Then I should be glad your dream has decided I should kiss you.”
“No, it hasn’t—” The rest of her rebuttal was swallowed by lips as Thaddeus, in a blur, closed the gap between them and enveloped her in his arms—and blew all her senses.
Where Marc’s kiss was a soft, sensual exploration, Thaddeus undertook a forceful exploration of her mouth. He didn’t just conquer her lips, he plundered them.
Where Marc’s kiss woke the wolf within her and drew forth a savage need to claim and give as good as she got, Thaddeus evoked a darker sensuality, one that made her want to let him have his way. To have him take charge.
Each different in their style of embrace, yet she couldn’t have said which she preferred more. But apparently, they expected her to choose. She found herself spun from the arms of Thaddeus into those of Marc, who feathered kisses across her cheeks and down her neck, each spot he touched, tingling with awareness. If wolves could purr, she would have, instead she contented herself with gasps and tiny moans of enjoyment.
A blurring motion and she was back in Thaddeus’s grasp, his fingers digging into her hips as his tongue invaded her mouth, sliding along hers and causing her to shudder as her arousal rose in pitch.
Not to be outdone, Marc pressed against her back, his soft lips nipping at her nape. Thaddeus sucked on her tongue. Marc blew against the shell of her ear. Their bodies went from clothed to nude in her dream, the heat and hardness of their erections pressing against her, front and back. With her eyes close, she distinguished them by the touch of their hands, the feel of their bodies and the style of their kiss.
Her body heated. Her arousal spiraled and she panted. Dream or not, she wanted them, wanted them both. And here, where nothing was truly real, she could do it. Have her vampire lover and the werewolf, too, with no one the wiser. She moaned her assent, and their hands tore at her garments, touching her bare skin and…
She woke suddenly, her skin damp with a sheen of perspiration, the towel lost and the sheets twisted around her bare limbs.
Warning: Blood, temptation and violence ahead. Contains lots of nudity as well as some ménage situations. Titillation is advised.

Krista Avery moved to Mt. Lawson “Kade” McKaden is a State Trooper, returning home after a transport to a Federal Prison. After a stint in the Air Force and a satisfying career, he is leaving uniforms behind for the life of a rancher.  A car on the side of the road calls to his sense of responsibility and the woman inside calls to his heart.
An escaped rapist/serial killer is hunting her. She was his first. Can they beat back the demons? Will Krista have to face her past alone, or is she Kade’s for…  His Safe Keeping?

When he turned to watch her, all he saw was that sexy ass, in those too fuckin’ short shorts she had on. He growled as he followed her inside. He walked into the kitchen behind her, and she had her back turned toward him, reaching up into the cabinets for glasses. Kade all of sudden grabbed her arm, swung her around, leaned down and put his lips to hers, kissing her.

Krista froze for a heartbeat when Kade’s mouth met hers, and she felt his tongue touch her lips. She parted her lips and his tongue slipped into her mouth. Waves of pleasure made Krista’s knees weak. He was kissing her!

Who's in the mood for a new Shifter Romance? Come Check out LL Brooks' post and GIVEAWAY!

Getting Around Forensics

Sitting here, I have the TV on, most of the time for no more than background noise. When I do hit a breather spot, one of those ‘what do I write not?’ moment, I look up, sometimes to stare blankly at it and other times to get involved in watching. Crime shows, the real things, not fiction, nearly always do. I can’t help but wonder what kind of a quandary a wolf shifter killer would throw a forensic scientist into. Forensics certainly makes it harder and harder for criminals to get away. The bad guy can’t bleed, spit, sweat, or yes, have sex, at the scene without DNA nailing them. Today I looked up to see them take a handprint off of a body. Who would have thought it? They got him too. You know, of course, that all of that makes it hard for mystery writers as well. Gone are days when the bad guy could break in without worrying about what microscopic part of themselves they might leave behind. Another show I watched nailed the guy with a quarter inch of his beard hair. As if forensics wasn’t enough, computers run them down. Used to be fingerprints in one state were no help to police in another unless some connection was made between the unknown criminal and there. Now? If you’ve ever been fingerprinted for anything and leave one behind at a crime scene, you’ve pretty well been had. So how does a writer of shifter fiction get around all of that? Carefully and hope her wolf doesn’t shed. Then again, how many cops would believe a human being can turn themselves into a wolf? Oh, yes, I consider them humanwith something extra, but still human. Vampires too. Mine, at least are in myshared with Shannon WestDead Reckoning Series. They evolve. What about you? Human or animal? Something in between. I won’t ask if you think they’re monsters. Like any human being, that would depend on the person. In A Beast of Vengeance, first in my Black Mesa Series, you can decide. Is Brand the predator Daniel thought him to be? Human or animal? Or somewhere in between.

Blurb and excerpt: A Beast of Vengeance.

The cop in Daniel recognized Wolf as a predator and knew he was dangerous…but he couldn’t stay away from the only man who ever attracted him

Had he ever read the man wrong! He’d thought he’d seen interest in the gaze of ice blue eyes sweeping over him. The reception he got instead told him he better be damned careful, and he flinched when the big man leaned toward him and sniffed. Sniffed? What the hell was that? What the hell was he smiling about?
“If you want a bust, try the guy on the end. He’s a pimp. He’ll either chase you out of his territory, beat the hell out of you for invading, or…” His eyes traveled over Daniel’s face, down and back up from his chest behind a too tight T-shirt to his crotch and the cutoff jeans he wore so short his balls peeked out if he wasn’t careful in how he moved or sat. “…cold cock you and force you into his stable. You better have good backup.”
“I ain’t no cop.”
The man turned back to face his drink. “So you say, kid.”
“I’m not—” He bit the words back, nearly forgetting his cover in an instant reaction to how young he looked. As far as his appearance went, he’d been stuck in puberty since he was sixteen years old. A sore spot for Daniel and the bastard taunting him smiled at that too. “Who the hell are you?”
“No one who is any of your business.”
“I doubt that.” Predator popped into Daniel’s mind. The man was a predator.

LL has decided to give an Ebook copy of A Beast of Vengeance. Anyone who comments and leaves an email address will be put into a drawing for one. If they're US mainland, a goody bag as well.
