Sex Toys & an Awesome Three Book Givaway with the Fabulous Tory Richards...

Happy Friday, everyone! Jennifer is letting me spend the day here, and I thought I’d start out by a brief intro. My name is Tory Richards, and I’m a grandma who likes to read and write smut. I was born in Maine, I live in Florida. Retired from Disney a couple years ago, and moved in with my daughter and her family. I have two grandchildren, and four cats, and I have the perfect life. Really, I do!  So on that note, and since I’m a smut writer, I thought you might be interested in the little article below.

The Oldest Sex Toy

Recently I was contacted by a marketing group, and asked if I’d be willing to let one of their clients post a professional article on my website. I won’t name the company they were representing but the nature of what they sold got me to thinking. Sex toys have been around for a long time. Just how long I had no idea. So I decided to look it up, and I was amazed at what I found.

The oldest sex toy was found in Germany, in a cave. It’s a 30,000-year-old, 8 inch siltstone phallus that also doubled, now get this, as a tool to ignite fires. My first thought was, really, so both ends do the same thing? I had to wonder how they knew what the prehistoric tool was used for. Researchers went on to explain that the polished end had carved rings around it that easily identified what it was used for. The other end had marks that were obviously used for striking flints.

I wish I could show you the picture because it looks like nothing I would have expected to see with regard to a sex toy. Kind of makes me think of a cement emery board. I’ve included a link so you can check it out. There’s nothing pretty about it, but then again, it doesn’t have to be pretty as long as it does what it’s supposed to do.

The multi-purpose tool was apparently broken, and put back together after the discarded pieces were found. I guess they used it to start one too many fires, huh?

They come together out of necessity, and soon give in to temptation. They know how the game is played, and what the outcome will be. Only this time, will it be different?

    1. LOL, that's cute! Herstory! I've always loved history. Just something so interesting about the past. I live in Florida, and St. Augustine, the oldest city, is my favorite weekend getaway place, and very cool. Full of history!

Thank you for the congrats on my trilogy.

  3. Congrats on the release of Burning Hunger. I have to say I wonder where archaeologists come up with some explanations about artifacts they find. I clicked the link and kind of saw where they got the idea, but surely it could have been a little more life like (shape wise). Plus, using stone as a medium,OUCH was my first thought. But, it was amusing.

    1. I've often wondered the same thing, Anne. How do they know? The sex tool is primitive to go with a primitive society, but haven't we come a long way? I found it interesting to learn that women even that far back in history enjoyed sex. Thanks for coming by:)

  4. This sounds great. People were really open with their sexuality back then so it is no surprise that there were toys back then.

    1. But what toys! This siltstone phallus looks a little rough around the edges. Even that far back the women were multi-tasking in the kitchen! LOL Thanks for coming by today!
