Who wants a $10 Gift Certificate? Check out, Author Ayla Ruse's newest Release with Details Below...

First, in most documents I searched, djinn aren’t typically considered captives. They are their own free-willed entity. So the whole genie in a bottle and three wish concept flew out the window. But what if a djinn wanted to be submissive? What if she wanted to be under someone’s control? I can see this happening, but then life would be all rosy.
I turned the tables again (I love being a writer) and thought, we all make mistakes. I’m sure even djinn can be found faulty at times—not that they would ever admit to such—so how about a djinn who found herself under the command of someone who does not have her best interest at heart? She’s magically bound to this person, so it’s not like she can get up and walk out, but what’s a djinn to do when the men of her dreams, and of her past, swoop down to try to rescue her?
All parties involved end up with more than they bargained for, but will the end result be a happily ever after, or will Rebecca end up in an even worse situation than she was before?
To Free a Djinn
By Ayla Ruse
Publisher: Changeling Press
Genres: Erotic Romance, Novella, Paranormal, BDSM
Themes: Menage, Magic, Magical Creatures
How can a djinn, bound to the wrong person, find a way to be with the men she loves?
Rebecca, a fiery, beautiful djinn, quietly assists her magician master, hating every moment they’re together. His command over her is growing and she finds herself desperate to get away.
Nico and Justin, magicians sharing the stage with Rebecca’s master, want to help her escape. Once they become involved, however, they discover magic is not the only environment where illusions deceive. Nico and Justin want Rebecca for themselves, but what will it take to gain her submission when she’s vowed to never be bound to another?
Rebecca had sensed them moments ago. Justin and Nico. She’d smelled their warm and sexy scents. One more step… and, there. She snuggled between the two men who made her think longingly of her time in the past.
“Rebecca,” Justin greeted in a whisper.
“Where did you go today? Are you alright?” Nico asked, nuzzling her ear.
She ignored Nico’s first question, smiling as each man slid an arm around her back. She loved the warmth of their bodies and wondered when she could find herself between them, but with less clothing.
“I’m fine,” she answered, her eyes focused onstage and on Branden.
“Meet us tonight after the show,” Nico whispered before running his tongue over the delicate shell of her ear. Rebecca’s lips curved.
“Yes,” she answered. “Branden tells me to go to bed when we’re through. Into whose bed… should I come?”
Justin chuckled, tucked his finger under her chin, and turned her face to his. “Come in mine,” he returned, placing a soft kiss on her full lips.
Rebecca shivered at the command in his tone.
She left the men with a smile when she saw her cue to join Braden onstage. Yes, Braden did tell her to go to bed each night, but he never thought to specify whose bed. For the first time in ages, she looked forward to the night’s end.
Thanks so much for letting me drop in today!

BBW Curve Appeal, New Releases & A Giveaway with Lucy Felthouse...

Rubenesque Chicks Are Hot Too, by Lucy Felthouse

Firstly, I want to extend my thanks to Jennifer for having me here today! I’m here to share my latest release, which is a Rubenesque novella from Ellora’s Cave. Mean Girls is part of their Curve Appeal range.

When I saw the call for submissions go out, I knew I had to write something for it. After all, within fiction generally, there are too many skinny, model-like characters, and especially in erotica and erotic romance. Not that being skinny, or model-like is wrong. As long as a person, fictional or not, is healthy, then it’s all good.

And that’s the angle I went down with my main character, Adele. She’s a very big girl, but she’s happy with that. She does plenty of exercise and her weight remains constant, and she figures she’s just built that way. She’s happy and healthy, and that’s all that matters. Although she doesn’t have self-esteem issues, as such, she also doesn’t think she’ll find it easy to find a partner. She may be happy with the way she is, but she believes most men prefer thin, or at least average women.

Luckily for her, Oliver, the lifeguard that works at her local leisure centre, doesn’t think that way. He doesn’t see women for what they are on the outside, but what’s inside. Adele is happy and confident, and that’s what attracts him to her. Her weight is irrelevant. To him, she’s sexy. Now he’s just got to pluck up the courage to tell her...

I thought it was important to tell this story with a positive slant. Although Adele does get picked on because of her weight, she feels no pressure to change. She knows the “mean girls” are just spiteful bitches and her self-esteem is just fine. Which is fortunate, given that’s what Oliver finds so damn sexy about her...

I’m not saying any more because I don’t want to give anything away, but I hope readers will enjoy this story. I loved writing it, and think the whole Curve Appeal range from Ellora’s Cave is a great idea. BBWs can be hot, too! Hurrah!

Happy reading,

Lucy x

As usual, Adele Blackthorne felt the weight of gazes on her as she walked from the changing room to the steps to get into the swimming pool. She was used to it by now, and had learned not to react, to just carry on as though she hadn’t noticed people staring and not-so-subtly pointing at her.

With a polite nod to Oliver, the lifeguard, as she passed him, Adele was grateful for his much more favorable reaction. If he thought she resembled a beached whale, he hid it much better than everyone else did. The warmth in his eyes as he nodded back even looked genuine. But she had no illusions, he probably slagged her off the moment he got into the staffroom, or home, talking about the fat woman who went swimming three times a week without fail. But for now, she’d pretend he didn’t. Pretend he thought she was sexy, and wanted to get lost in her abundant curves. God knows she’d like him to.

It was true, she was a big girl and she was most definitely aware of it. Ever since she’d gotten to the age where her excess weight could no longer be called puppy fat, she’d tried to do something about it. Every diet under the sun, ridiculous amounts of exercise… nothing worked. Adele had grown so depressed in her teens that she’d become bulimic. Naturally, she’d lost some weight that way, but she’d also made herself so ill that she’d had to be hospitalized. It had terrified the life out of her, and ever since, she’d resolved that she’d much rather be healthy than skinny.

Which was why she visited her local leisure center three times a week. She used the gym and sauna, and went swimming. And every single time she went, she’d catch someone gawping at her. But because of the years she’d spent—especially at school—being called all the names under the sun, she’d developed an incredibly thick skin. She was happy and healthy—so healthy in fact that she could probably beat all of those skinny bitches at a swimming race. Of course she never offered, never called anyone out on their rudeness and ignorance, but it made her feel better to know that she was fitter and much more polite than them.

Slipping into the fast lane, she settled her goggles carefully into position—she hated getting water in her eyes—then lifted her legs to rest the bottoms of her feet against the end of the pool. Looking at the clock on the wall that counted seconds, she waited until the hand reached the top, then pushed off from the side and launched herself into the lane. It was quiet, so she had this section of the pool to herself. Her arms cut through the water, her legs flapped wildly and she did ten laps without losing any speed. Emerging from the water, she checked the clock again and was pleased to note she’d beaten her previous time.

She was just about to start another ten laps, when she heard voices from the other side of the pool. Voices that clearly forgot how well they carried on water. It was as though they were right next to her.

“God, I’m surprised all the water doesn’t jump out of the pool when she gets in. And the way she swims—she’ll cause a tidal wave one of these days.”

The spiteful words were followed by a trio of sniggers, and Adele gritted her teeth. Part of her wished that she could create a bloody tidal wave, so it would sweep those bitches under water and drown them. The other part of her tsked at the thought. Ideas like that made her just as bad as them, just as unpleasant, just as cowardly.

Because they were cowardly—the way they spoke about her behind her back proved that. If they ever passed her somewhere in the leisure center or its car park, they never said anything, not one word. They’d just scurry away as fast as they could, then titter when they thought she was out of earshot. She hoped that just one time, someone would say something to her face, so she could retaliate, speak up for herself. There was no way she’d start anything—she didn’t want to add confrontational to the list of faults that the mean girls had obviously compiled about her.

Sucking in a deep breath, Adele launched into another ten laps, allowing the chilly water and the exertion of powering through it to burn away her irritation. Because that’s all it was—irritation. She wasn’t angry. Anger was too powerful an emotion, and one that was totally wasted on those ignorant women. She almost felt sorry for them, actually. If they had nothing better to do than to stare at her and slag her off all the time, then they clearly had very dull lives.

The thought cheered her considerably and when she completed her twentieth lap, she lay her forearms on the edge of the pool and hoiked herself up. Her back was pressed against the side, and from here she had a perfect view of the rest of the pool. Tugging her goggles down so they hung around her neck, she had a damn good look at everyone else. The small children and their guardians in the kids’ pool right at the other end of the enormous hall, the old people who swum so slowly as they chatted that she was surprised they stayed afloat, the relentless movement of the man in the medium-speed lane and, of course, the mean girls who were in the same sort of position she was, but at the side of the pool rather than the end. The side which faced the lifeguard station.

Adele narrowed her eyes and watched them—the two waif-like blondes and a brunette—as they chatted and giggled, and it seemed for a change, not about her. They’d clearly changed the subject since their previous spouting of vitriol. Their focus was very firmly on Oliver as he sat on his lofty perch, surveying the pools before him, ready to jump in should anyone get into trouble. She often toyed with the idea of faking a problem, just to get him into the pool and his strong arms around her. However, she knew that although he’d undoubtedly do his duty and help her, he’d never believe such a strong swimmer would need his assistance. Then he’d lose all respect for her, and probably stop hiding his disdain for her so effectively. And the polite nods and smiles she got from him were the only thing—aside from the center’s top-notch facilities—that made the place bearable. She was sure that if the three witches—a nickname she’d secretly come up with for the women—had their way, there would be a sign on the main doors to the building saying ‘No Fat People Allowed.’

Adele Blackthorne is a big girl, a curvy chick. She knows it, and she’s been picked on all her life because of it. But she’s gotten to the stage where she doesn’t care. She may be Rubenesque, but she’s healthy, too. Much healthier than the mean girls at the leisure center that point and stare and say spiteful things about her. Adele rises above it all, and simply enjoys her secretive glances at the center’s hunky lifeguard, Oliver.

As the bullying of Adele becomes worse, Oliver finds it increasingly difficult not to intervene. He doesn’t want to get into trouble with work, but equally he can’t stand to see Adele treated in such a horrible way. Especially since he doesn’t agree that she’s fat and unattractive. He thinks she’s a seriously sexy woman, and would like to get to know her better. Much better.

Sex Toys & an Awesome Three Book Givaway with the Fabulous Tory Richards...

Happy Friday, everyone! Jennifer is letting me spend the day here, and I thought I’d start out by a brief intro. My name is Tory Richards, and I’m a grandma who likes to read and write smut. I was born in Maine, I live in Florida. Retired from Disney a couple years ago, and moved in with my daughter and her family. I have two grandchildren, and four cats, and I have the perfect life. Really, I do!  So on that note, and since I’m a smut writer, I thought you might be interested in the little article below.

The Oldest Sex Toy

Recently I was contacted by a marketing group, and asked if I’d be willing to let one of their clients post a professional article on my website. I won’t name the company they were representing but the nature of what they sold got me to thinking. Sex toys have been around for a long time. Just how long I had no idea. So I decided to look it up, and I was amazed at what I found.

The oldest sex toy was found in Germany, in a cave. It’s a 30,000-year-old, 8 inch siltstone phallus that also doubled, now get this, as a tool to ignite fires. My first thought was, really, so both ends do the same thing? I had to wonder how they knew what the prehistoric tool was used for. Researchers went on to explain that the polished end had carved rings around it that easily identified what it was used for. The other end had marks that were obviously used for striking flints.

I wish I could show you the picture because it looks like nothing I would have expected to see with regard to a sex toy. Kind of makes me think of a cement emery board. I’ve included a link so you can check it out. There’s nothing pretty about it, but then again, it doesn’t have to be pretty as long as it does what it’s supposed to do.

The multi-purpose tool was apparently broken, and put back together after the discarded pieces were found. I guess they used it to start one too many fires, huh?

Moving right along, I’m here today to plug my latest release, Burning Hunger, which came out on the 15th of this month. It’s book #3 in the Evans brothers trilogy, and like the other two stories a stand alone, erotic romance. A Perfect Fit and Surrender to Desire are books one and two.

Burning Hunger

They say opposites attract but Val and Chaz are equals when it comes to the bedroom. Neither are strangers to one-night stands, and partying hard, but all that’s in the past, or is it? They come together out of necessity, and soon give in to temptation. They know how the game is played, and what the outcome will be. Only this time, will it be different?

Who Wants a $10 Amazon Gift Card? Check out Author Jane Wakely's Latest Release, Candi's Buck, for a Chance to WIN!...

Title: Candi’s Buck

Author: Jane Wakely

Genre: Paranormal/Shifter Romance

Publisher: Rebel Ink Press

Candi Smith spends her days working her dream job as head chef in her brother’s new restaurant. The café’s early operating hours allow her a daily walk in the forest and time to visit her special place, the alcove. When a buck starts to visit the alcove as well, she learns there’s one thing better than being alone in the forest. Candi’s feelings for the buck are confusing but they become more unusual when she meets Aiden.

Aiden Montgomery is a zoology professor and a deer shifter. His job is rewarding, but a run through the forest in his buck form is the perfect way to end to his day. Forty is fast approaching and his age, combined with his scarred leg, are reminders he isn’t worthy of a mate. He keeps the loneliness at bay by drowning in projects for work, seemingly content with his life. When he sees Candi for the first time, and recognizes her as his mate, her youth and perfection persuade him he doesn’t deserve her.

Aiden is driven to spend small amounts of time with Candi, convinced his intense feelings will be easier to control if he gets her out of his system. The plan backfires and leaves the pair unhappy, despite the love they share. He knows they can’t be together, but Aiden feels he owes Candi the truth about their connection. Candi’s not as naïve as she seems and she has her own plans for her buck.

The snap of a twig from somewhere behind startled Candi, and she turned away from the trail to look into the forest. There wasn’t anything directly behind her, but she was sure she heard something. Candi’s heart raced and she concentrated on keeping her breathing slow and even. The forest was home to several wild animals, and though sightings were rare and she’d never heard of an attack, it didn’t mean it couldn’t happen. She stood perfectly still and roamed the dense trees with her eyes.

Not a single sound echoed around her. While normally peaceful, she no longer heard the bird’s song or the chattering chipmunks. Something was out there, but she couldn’t see it. She turned to leave and took a step before her mind processed what she saw. She turned back.

A large, round black eye was nestled between the trees about fifteen feet away. A closer look revealed the tan head of a white-tailed deer. Now that his location was revealed, she could see the antlers that were previously hidden in the trees and the rest of his body came into focus.

They stared at each other as the minutes passed until Candi took a step forward. Something deep inside urged her to move closer. She wanted to touch him, certain he wouldn’t cause her harm. It didn’t make any sense. He was a wild animal, but she couldn’t deny the feeling.

One step was all it took, and he bolted. Candi watched his tail disappear between the trees, confused by the odd sensation to follow. It was unsafe to go wandering in the woods alone, so she stayed put and studied the area. She searched for his return, but if he did, he stayed hidden.

EXCERPT: (From A Wicked Wager: Leather and Pleasure 5)

“Uh uhn, can I help you?” A large hand came out to stop her from continuing ahead. She’d been so pre-occupied in her thoughts that it took her a minute to gather her composure to face the big hunk of man meat in front of her.
“Excuse me?”
“Look lady, this is a member’s only establishment and I can’t let you walk through that door until you show me you’re with a paid member, or have a pass proving your membership.” He looked her up and down from the tip of her toes to the top of her head, lingering at her chest before meeting her eyes again. He licked his lips. “And, since you’re standing here solo, and I haven’t seen you before, I’m assuming you’re a first timer.” His eyes glittered as he pursued her with his eyes again. “Oh yeah, I’d have definitely remembered you.”
Oh my God, is he flirting with me? Kayla couldn’t help herself and smiled. She’d been out of the dating world for awhile now, too concentrated on school, and opening her store since her return home, but even longer still since she had that instant chemistry for someone she’d just met, like she did with him right then. She mimicked him by licking her own lips thinking about it. There was just something about this confident hunk of heaven in front of her though, he was chocolate cake and ice cream, cheese cake drizzled with thick cherry syrup, a delicious piece of pumpkin pie with a mountain top of whipped cream on top. All delicious temptations that she shouldn’t have, hell, hadn’t had in almost two years to keep her figure the way she wanted it—but still had the craving for. Hmm, a sexy man and tempting deserts all in one. She raised a brow, imagining the taste of his salty skin in contrast to the sweet taste of chocolate, cherries, and whipped cream as she licked it off of him.
“Ma’am?” He bent his head to the side and took a step towards her.
“Kayla,” she corrected, when his voice snapped her out of the fantasy. She smiled, “My name is Kayla, not lady or Ma’am, just plain old Kayla.” She held out her hand in greeting. “And, you are?”
He was tall, with broad shoulders and muscular arms, and she could see the definition in his cut chest and flat abs through his form-fitted black t-shirt. His jeans hid an impressive bulge and were ripped in one of the knees, but fit so perfectly they moulded his legs like they were made just for him. He had the bad boy persona, but the good kind she wouldn’t mind more of. She shook her head, realizing he hadn’t answered her yet, and blushed at being caught ogling him.
“The name’s Jake, it’s a pleasure to meet you Kayla.” Jake caressed her outstretched hand with his fingers before lifting it to his lips.
Oh, sweet lord. Okay Kayla, pull yourself together and stop acting like a horny teenager. You’re a grown-up now for Christ’s sake. A grown up that needs to get laid sometime soon, but you’re not the one night stand type of girl. Damn, his lips feel good though. Maybe just this once I should just go for it. Kayla cleared her throat, Maybe it’s time to get to know Mr. tall, dark, and sexy a little better. “Care to make a wager, Jake?”
“A wager?” He laughed, looking caught off guard. “Are you a daring woman, Kayla? Is that why you thought you might try the naughty club tonight?”
“No, not daring, at least not usually, but I like you already, and I’m in a betting kind of mood suddenly.” She smiled mischievously and had the urge to rub her hands together, knowing she had him right where she wanted him. “Call it a hunch, but I get the feeling that  you always think you’re right, or at least like to be right about things, and I’m betting I do get in that club tonight without a membership.” She pointed to the club’s door. “In fact, I’ll bet you I can get invited in, in less than five minutes. What do you say Jake, you want to bet with me?”
“You make this too easy for me, Kayla. I already told you there are only two ways I can permit you to enter. One, is if you are a paid member, the other is if you have the invitation of another who frequents here often, and you don’t have either. I’d love to let you in sweetheart, it’d be kind of nice to see you around more often, but I’m not about to lose my job over a nice piece of ass.”
“A nice piece of ass? Aren’t we a little direct now? I’m not sure whether to be flattered or insulted. Thankfully I don’t offend easily. My bet still stands though; are you game Jake, because I think I’m going to like proving you wrong.”
“Okay, I’ll play along, but what’s in it for me?”
“Well, if I win I’ll let you take me to dinner sometime, and if you win...”
“I make sure we get dessert.” His mouth formed into a confident smile, and the gleam in his eye told her his idea of dessert didn’t mean food. “Still want to play, kitten?”
“Kayla,” she corrected again; she didn’t mind nicknames, but right then he needed to come down a notch. “I’m going to enjoy making you eat your words.”
Jake shrugged, and leaned back lazily to show her he wasn’t bothered. “It seems to me either way I win. Your wager is dinner on me; my wager is dessert all over you, and what a feast I would have with that...”
Kayla shivered, Damn, can he read minds too? I was just picturing tasting dessert off of him. Let’s see how far I can milk him. “Okay, we’ll add another stipulation to make things more interesting then, since it’s a win-win situation for the both of us.” She reached inside of her purse for her wallet. “I’ve got a fifty right here. You win, not only am I your dessert, but you become fifty dollars richer. You lose you give me fifty.” She shrugged back at him and leaned against the wall beside him trying to mimic the confident stance he showed moments before.
“Yeah?” He stepped forward until he stood right in front of her. So close she could feel the heat of his body, and she cursed out loud when goose bumps covered her skin making him smile at her again. Placing his hands on each side of her head she could feel his breath against her cheek as he whispered, “You’ve got less than five minutes remember,” and then he stepped back.
Son of a gun, he did that on purpose knowing that I would respond to his body so close to mine. “I do, so be prepared to hand over that money.” She moved past him while pulling out her cell phone. It only took a minute to locate the number she needed and then not only would he be buying her dinner, Jake would be forking over his fifty bucks. Sweet victory is only moments away, Kayla.
“Hi, it’s me. Yep. I know, I know, I’m a little early, but instead of meeting me at my place I thought I’d come to you. Uh huh, I know but I wanted to see the club...” Kayla laughed, rubbing it in as Jake watched her. “Okay, well you’ve got exactly two minutes, and hurry. Good, see you in a minute then.” She snapped the phone shut and smirked at Jake before turning towards the door. “Don’t you just love the smell of victory?”
Best wishes,

He’d risk everything ―Wild Remington spent five years in prison because of Jayla’s lies, and now, with a bullet in her shoulder, she’s asking him for help―right in time to be trapped in the wilds of Montana in the middle of a blizzard…

Jayla and Wild―two people who have nothing left to lose and perhaps everything to gain…
Studying the site for a moment, his chest rose and fell with ragged breaths. If he ever got his hands on the person who shot her, he’d break his neck. His gaze slowly reached hers. “What the hell have you gotten yourself into? What are you dragging me into?”
“You don’t wanna know.”
“Yeah, well if I’m all that stands between you and whoever put that bullet in you, a little honesty about now might come in handy. Is there anything else going on with you I need to know?” He clenched his fists. A jagged hole the size of his thumb tips oozed thick, yellowish fluid down her breast. At least four centimeters around the wound looked red and swollen. “Hell, I thought you said you were shot in the shoulder. On your breast isn’t your shoulder, damn it.”
“It’s in the shoulder proximity. What was I supposed to say, I’ve been booby shot?”
Hell, what was wrong with him? He knew she was wounded, but he’d been distracted by other things, he hadn’t paid enough attention to her injury. Why the hell hadn’t he noticed how awful it looked? Maybe because his attention had been focused on her cleavage and not her shoulder/booby area?
No. He hadn’t even noticed it when she took off her sweater, and he sure hadn’t been distracted by cleavage then. So why hadn’t he seen the ugly discoloration? He frowned trying to recall. She’d held the pullover in front of her blocking the sight of it.
Well, he was looking now, and not at the sexy dip between her breasts, but at the wound, and it looked nasty. “How long—?”
“Three days. Don’t look so stricken, Wild, it isn’t your fault I got shot.”
“It’s my fault I haven’t taken better care of you.” His lips tightened. “Jesus Christ! Why didn’t you get help?”
“I am getting help. You’re the best medicine a lady can ask for.”
Wild brushed off her statement. She had to be feverish. She didn’t know what she was saying. “I’ll see if I can rustle up some antibiotics. You need ‘em. I’ll treat your wound, but get this straight, you aren’t going to kiss me again, and I’m not going to kiss you, period…and for Christ’s sake, I might be somebody’s poison, but I’m nobody’s best medicine.”
