  1. 1.         How long have you been an author?
  2. I've been writing since I was a kid but I've only endeavored to publish my work in the last year or so.
  3. 2.         What is your favourite genre?
  4. Probably hard science fiction.
  5. 3.         If someone hasn't read any of your work, what book would you recommend they start with and why?
  6. As far as my erotic writing goes, I'd suggest starting with "James and Ellen: Together at Last." It's the closest I've come to writing a romance novel but it's still pretty steamy.
  7. 4.         What is the biggest surprise you’ve discovered about the writing process?
  8. Where erotica is concerned, I've found that I write it to get it out of my system and just when I think I've got it out of my system, I get another idea for a story and I've got to get it out all over again. I have horny muses. ;-)
  9. 5.         Can you tell us about one of your current works in progress?
  10. I just completed an MMF menage story called "Camping with Christy"
  11. 6.         Name one thing readers would be surprised to know about you.
  12. I'm a very spiritual person but I see no contradiction between my spirituality/faith and expressing myself sexually through my writing.
  13. 7.         Name your top three writing goals?
  14. With my erotica, I hope to turn people on, to entertain and open minds.

Fun Questions -

  1. 1.         If you had a warning label, what would it say?
  2. Contents under pressure.
  3. 2.         If you had the chance to meet one of your characters privately, who would it be and what would you do?

Dinner was lovely and afterward they sat in the living room on a large L-shaped couch with Angie on one side and Valerie and Justin cuddling on the other. They continued talking and drinking their wine until all three had a nice buzz going. It was at this point that Angie stood up and walked the short distance to the other end of the couch, sat next to Val and put her arm behind her, caressing the small of the dancer’s back. “You two make such a cute couple,” she said. “I love that you’re both the same height.” Angie was about an inch or two taller but was much more curvaceous than the athletic Valerie.

“Thank you,” said Val, too buzzed to be nervous about her friend’s sudden close proximity. Justin couldn’t control his gaze as his eyes wandered to Angie’s cleavage peeking through her partially open kimono. She noticed this but didn’t mind at all.

“I love that Val has been telling me all about you two in bed. It makes me feel really close to you and it turns me on, of course.” She then looked into Valerie’s eyes and said, “If I can make a confession, after you tell me about what you two have been up to, I just have to do it with Tony. Even if it’s stuff we’ve done before, hearing you talk about it makes me want to do it again.”

“Really,” asked Val.

“Yes, really... You two are so sexy.” Angie then leaned in and kissed Valerie on the lips. Val just kissed her back. What’s happening? thought Val. She always thought Angie was beautiful but never stopped to think if she was attracted to her, let alone whether she wanted to kiss her but the sweet confession and the wine seemed to make those lingering questions not matter.

I would be happy to offer a free copy of "Submitting to Angie" to a random reader.
I'd like to thank Stephen for joining us today. It was a pleasure getting to know you. Now, if you'd like to enter his giveaway simply comment with your email address' and follow this blog.

Shadows in the Night with MA Church...

The foes that are unseen are often stronger than those that are seen.

Hey everyone! I’m M.A. Church and I’m here to talk about my latest book called Shadows in the Night from Dreamspinner, which was released July 12th .Shadows is a paranormal/shifter novel that focuses on two men raised in different times—Jason, a Native American shifter, and Chip, a modern man with modern ideas.

Time has also brought with it an enemy that harbors a deep-seated hatred for Jason; an enemy who will use whatever means necessary to bring Jason to his knees… including Jason’s own mate.

As Chip is drawing farther and farther into a world he can’t escape from, one thing becomes clear to him. He’s going to have to learn to trust the man he’s coming to care for and take a leap of faith.

Shadows in the Night

~A Leap of Faith Novel

When Chip Riley's beloved granny passes away, she leaves him all her money, her land, and a house that needs some tender love and care. She never mentioned the legacy comes with a Native American shifter who intends to claim Chip as his mate.

Jason Sky has lived since buffalo roamed the land. When his totem spirit, a black cougar, saves a little girl, he doesn’t realize that generations later, her grandson will become his mate, leaving him to take on a modern man with modern ideas. But that’s the least of his problems.

Garon, another shifter with a long-held hatred for Jason, plots to kidnap Chip and lure Jason to his death. Soon Chip finds himself in an untenable position between a rock and a hard place. A leap of faith may be the only way to save himself and the man he’s learned to love.

Pages: 200

Cover Artist: L.C. Chase

THE black cougar pulled the blanket to mid-hip. Chip’s chest was still bare, but hey, he had to get his kicks somehow.

Ugh, raw steak. Stereotypical response. See what looks like a wild animal and offer it raw, bloody meat. I prefer mine medium-well, Chip.

He made another loop around the living area. As far as he could tell, things had calmed down outside and the other shifter was gone. The appearance of a new cougar worried him. He knew who all the shifters were in town, and this one, he didn’t recognize. There was something about its scent too—he smelled off. Wrong. He had made eye contact when they fought and there was nothing, no humanity in the other cougar’s eyes. All of his kind retained their morals while in spirit form. Whoever this was had targeted Chip, and that was a mistake. Messing with a shifter’s mate not only could result in death, but usually did. His kind tended to be… possessive.

He glanced back at Chip. His human was snoring. All the excitement must have worn him out.

And what the hell is up with the “boy” nickname all of a sudden? Do I look like a boy? We’ll see who the “boy” is when I get your ass in bed and you’re under me screaming my name. Frankly, I don’t think I can afford to wait much longer, with the appearance of that other shifter. Of course, you need to know whose name to yell. First thing tomorrow, I plan to remedy that, thanks to the Other. Just wish it didn’t have to be done like this.

He’d taken to calling the new shifter Other simply because he didn’t know who he was. Hours passed, and the night sky lightened as daybreak approached. He decided it was safe for him to leave. There had been no sign of the new shifter for hours.

Should I wake him? Ah well, where’s the fun in that? Time to make a point, I think. One that he can’t ignore. Might as well, because come tomorrow, he’s going to have to deal with the fact things aren’t what they seem around here.

Author bio:

M.A. Church

M.A. Church lives in the southern United States and spent many years in the elementary education sector. She is married to her high school sweetheart and they have two children. Her hobbies are gardening, walking, attending flea markets, watching professional football, racing, and spending time with her family on the lake.

But her most beloved hobby is reading. From an early age, she can remember hunting for books at the library. Later nonhuman and science fiction genres captured her attention and drew her into the worlds the authors had created. But always at the back of her mind was the thought that one day, when the kids were older and she had more time, she would write a book.

By sheer chance she stumbled across a gay male romance story on the web and was hooked. A new world opened up and she fell in love. Thus the journey started. When not writing or researching, she enjoys reading the latest erotic and mainstream romance novels.

A Wicked Wager & A GIVEAWAY with Jennifer Labelle...

Kayla Evans returns home to open a new business and help out her family. She’s been away at school for too many years putting her life on hold, and she’s looking forward to living it again. She goes to the popular fetish club, Leather and Pleasure to meet with her older brother, the clubs owner, and is faced with a sexy as hell bouncer who refuses to let her in. With a mutual attraction and some chemistry they both can’t deny, Jake brings out her playful side, and wagers are made.

Jake Collins has worked at the club for years. He’s good friends with several co-workers, including his boss Rhys. So why is it he never knew about this sister? Kayla has him turned inside out almost immediately, laying all the cards on the table as she challenges him time and time again. She’s like no other woman he’s ever met and he’s determined to have her.
A Wicked Wager is the fifth installment in my Leather and Pleasure series, now who wants a copy?
Leave a comment with your email address for a chance to win yourself a pdf copy. I'll announce my winner on Thursday July 25.
“Uh uhn, can I help you?” A large hand came out to stop her from continuing ahead. She’d been so pre-occupied in her thoughts that it took her a minute to gather her composure to face the big hunk of man meat in front of her.
“Excuse me?”
“Look lady, this is a member’s only establishment and I can’t let you walk through that door until you show me you’re with a paid member, or have a pass proving your membership.” He looked her up and down from the tip of her toes to the top of her head, lingering at her chest before meeting her eyes again. He licked his lips. “And, since you’re standing here solo, and I haven’t seen you before, I’m assuming you’re a first timer.” His eyes glittered as he pursued her with his eyes again. “Oh yeah, I’d have definitely remembered you.”
Oh my God, is he flirting with me? Kayla couldn’t help herself and smiled. She’d been out of the dating world for awhile now, too concentrated on school, and opening her store since her return home, but even longer still since she had that instant chemistry for someone she’d just met, like she did with him right then. She mimicked him by licking her own lips thinking about it. There was just something about this confident hunk of heaven in front of her though, he was chocolate cake and ice cream, cheese cake drizzled with thick cherry syrup, a delicious piece of pumpkin pie with a mountain top of whipped cream on top. All delicious temptations that she shouldn’t have, hell, hadn’t had in almost two years to keep her figure the way she wanted it—but still had the craving for. Hmm, a sexy man and tempting deserts all in one. She raised a brow, imagining the taste of his salty skin in contrast to the sweet taste of chocolate, cherries, and whipped cream as she licked it off of him.
“Ma’am?” He bent his head to the side and took a step towards her.
“Kayla,” she corrected, when his voice snapped her out of the fantasy. She smiled, “My name is Kayla, not lady or Ma’am, just plain old Kayla.” She held out her hand in greeting. “And, you are?”
He was tall, with broad shoulders and muscular arms, and she could see the definition in his cut chest and flat abs through his form-fitted black t-shirt. His jeans hid an impressive bulge and were ripped in one of the knees, but fit so perfectly they moulded his legs like they were made just for him. He had the bad boy persona, but the good kind she wouldn’t mind more of. She shook her head, realizing he hadn’t answered her yet, and blushed at being caught ogling him.
“The name’s Jake, it’s a pleasure to meet you Kayla.” Jake caressed her outstretched hand with his fingers before lifting it to his lips.
Oh, sweet lord. Okay Kayla, pull yourself together and stop acting like a horny teenager. You’re a grown-up now for Christ’s sake. A grown up that needs to get laid sometime soon, but you’re not the one night stand type of girl. Damn, his lips feel good though. Maybe just this once I should just go for it. Kayla cleared her throat, Maybe it’s time to get to know Mr. tall, dark, and sexy a little better. “Care to make a wager, Jake?”
“A wager?” He laughed, looking caught off guard. “Are you a daring woman, Kayla? Is that why you thought you might try the naughty club tonight?”
“No, not daring, at least not usually, but I like you already, and I’m in a betting kind of mood suddenly.” She smiled mischievously and had the urge to rub her hands together, knowing she had him right where she wanted him. “Call it a hunch, but I get the feeling that  you always think you’re right, or at least like to be right about things, and I’m betting I do get in that club tonight without a membership.” She pointed to the club’s door. “In fact, I’ll bet you I can get invited in, in less than five minutes. What do you say Jake, you want to bet with me?”
“You make this too easy for me, Kayla. I already told you there are only two ways I can permit you to enter. One, is if you are a paid member, the other is if you have the invitation of another who frequents here often, and you don’t have either. I’d love to let you in sweetheart, it’d be kind of nice to see you around more often, but I’m not about to lose my job over a nice piece of ass.”
“A nice piece of ass? Aren’t we a little direct now? I’m not sure whether to be flattered or insulted. Thankfully I don’t offend easily. My bet still stands though; are you game Jake, because I think I’m going to like proving you wrong.”
“Okay, I’ll play along, but what’s in it for me?”
“Well, if I win I’ll let you take me to dinner sometime, and if you win...”
“I make sure we get dessert.” His mouth formed into a confident smile, and the gleam in his eye told her his idea of dessert didn’t mean food. “Still want to play, kitten?”
“Kayla,” she corrected again; she didn’t mind nicknames, but right then he needed to come down a notch. “I’m going to enjoy making you eat your words.”
Jake shrugged, and leaned back lazily to show her he wasn’t bothered. “It seems to me either way I win. Your wager is dinner on me; my wager is dessert all over you, and what a feast I would have with that...”
Kayla shivered, Damn, can he read minds too? I was just picturing tasting dessert off of him. Let’s see how far I can milk him. “Okay, we’ll add another stipulation to make things more interesting then, since it’s a win-win situation for the both of us.” She reached inside of her purse for her wallet. “I’ve got a fifty right here. You win, not only am I your dessert, but you become fifty dollars richer. You lose you give me fifty.” She shrugged back at him and leaned against the wall beside him trying to mimic the confident stance he showed moments before.
“Yeah?” He stepped forward until he stood right in front of her. So close she could feel the heat of his body, and she cursed out loud when goose bumps covered her skin making him smile at her again. Placing his hands on each side of her head she could feel his breath against her cheek as he whispered, “You’ve got less than five minutes remember,” and then he stepped back.
Son of a gun, he did that on purpose knowing that I would respond to his body so close to mine. “I do, so be prepared to hand over that money.” She moved past him while pulling out her cell phone. It only took a minute to locate the number she needed and then not only would he be buying her dinner, Jake would be forking over his fifty bucks. Sweet victory is only moments away, Kayla.
“Hi, it’s me. Yep. I know, I know, I’m a little early, but instead of meeting me at my place I thought I’d come to you. Uh huh, I know but I wanted to see the club...” Kayla laughed, rubbing it in as Jake watched her. “Okay, well you’ve got exactly two minutes, and hurry. Good, see you in a minute then.” She snapped the phone shut and smirked at Jake before turning towards the door. “Don’t you just love the smell of victory?”

Villians & A GIVEAWAY with Sarah Cass...

Sometimes A Villain is just a Villain

My Dominion Falls Series is a historical western romance, but anyone that’s read it will tell you – there is action, adventure, and some mystery/suspense wrapped into it.

In order to have suspense you have to have a villain or two. I have two, one that doesn’t start out quite as one, but develops into one.  The other – well, he’s the one that takes the cake.

Johnny (aka “I have no name”) is a villain without a conscience.  He’s brilliant, genius, can change his appearance faster than you can blink—but he has no conscience at all.

I created this dark, desperately insane, evil creature out of a single conversation with my husband.

My hubby is a movie buff to the extreme.  He watches them over and over and in crazy circles.  One night after we’d watched a movie (or he’d watched & I’d sat next to him writing, maybe…), he was frowning.  His comment was along the lines of, “Why is it that every villain has to have this sympathetic backstory? Why can’t they just be bad?”

And there and then Johnny “I have no name”- was born.  So far as I know, he wasn’t beat as a child. He did live through the Civil War, but he was already cruelly evil already.  There is no sympathetic backstory to soften the reader to him.

His insanity shows through when I write scenes from his POV. The sentences are short, clipped, the direction of his thoughts sometimes manic. He feels he’s better than everyone, more intelligent, more guile.  In many ways, he’s right.

After all, he’s lived a life of deceit, fraud, murder – without getting caught – for more years than my heroine and those around her can even guess.

It’s up to my heroine and my hero to try to outwit him…the question is, will they manage to?  By the end of Derailed you may be wondering…

So how do you like your villain? Do you want the sympathetic sob story in their background? Or do you just want a villain for a villain’s sake?

Derailed (Dominion Falls Book 2)

The sins of a past she can’t remember could destroy a present she’ll never forget.

Without Cole Mitchell's help to find the answers, there may be no hope left.

Cole has nowhere left to hide. He unwittingly let Jane into his heart, and is ready to share the secret of his dark past.

Fate has a way of playing its hand, and tragedy strikes. With the world crumbling around them, it's easy to lose faith. If they can't forgive past sins, they have no hope for the future.

This lot of men and women, like all of them, completely obtuse.

Once again he’d managed to insinuate himself in the mining town of Dominion Falls. All he’d had to do to avoid detection was stay clear of Clara and her brother.

Even now as he sat in the saloon of her lover, right in front of the man, he wasn’t recognized. He’d had to place black wax on some teeth, lose every bit of extra weight, and adopt a vernacular of the crudest form.

Child’s play, really.

Cole looked right at him, served him beer—and nothing.

So very easy.

Of course he knew Clara and the idiot behind the bar had parted ways. No one in the town balked at gossip. They thrived on it, and he was all too happy to listen.

To his great luck, Clara appeared to be highly distracted and ill. The woman that had challenged him on the train, and tricked him in Frisco, now couldn’t be bothered to notice the new miner in town. Most of the time, she holed up in the library.

An easy target.

All he had to do was complete his perfect revenge. Make her suffer.

Until she begged him to take his money back just to leave her alone. Not that he would ever leave her be. No, Constance needed to be where she belonged, where she could no longer haunt him.

She needed a reminder.

One that left no mistake he hadn’t forgotten her. He’d never forget, and she shouldn’t either.

He’d taunt her for a while, then set the law on her.

Once he did that, she’d cave. Run for the hills, right into his waiting trap.

Buy link: (only one link please)

1.      How long have you been an author?

I started out as a ghostwriter so I’ve been in the business for a while now, probably right around ten years. The first book published under my ‘real’ name was released in 2005. I started writing erotic romance right after my first nonfiction book was released.

2.      What is your favourite genre?

Writing BDSM sports romances ranks up there at the top. Then again, there’s something sexy about badass motorcycle-riding heroes and the women who ride behind them. *Sigh* Oh, and I could write about cowboys and gamblers all day long. *Smiles* I can’t pick just one genre.

3.      If someone hasn't read any of your work, what book would you recommend they start with and why?

A Debt Owed is one of my favourite because I love the heroine. Sassy Road, the first book in the Heroes and Rogues trilogy, is another favourite.  Sassy and Logan are just well suited for one another and I love the characters in the Heroes and Rogues novellas.

4.      What is the biggest surprise you’ve discovered about the writing process?

For me, it’s the ability to be totally committed to one project and then suddenly driven to start another one. Sometimes, I just want to grab my muse by the collar and shake her while screaming, “Can’t you just wait a blasted minute?” As so many writers know, when an idea strikes, it’s crucial to stop what you’re doing and jot down an idea. If you don’t take a minute to scribble down a few particulars, then those new ideas are often lost forever.

5.      Can you tell us about one of your current works in progress?

There are quite a few in the pipeline at the moment from first drafts to edits and proofs. The two that stand out are:

Rise to Power~Search for Pride, a novella series for eXtasy Books and Swinging Gate Sports Romances for Champagne Books and Carnal Passions. These novellas are packed with great characters, conflict, a few surprises along the way, and happy endings.

6.      Name one thing readers would be surprised to know about you.

I’m a workaholic. There’s a drive inside me that I can’t explain and it only worsens with age.

7.      Name your top three writing goals?

1. At the moment, I write under a lot of pen names. I’d like to cut the number in half, but it’s easier said than done.

2. This is more of a career goal than a writing goal per se, but I hope to attend more signings and book events in the near future. I just returned from Romfest and it was a blast!

3.  I’d like to finish all proposed works by the end of the year.

Fun Questions -

1.      If you had a warning label, what would it say?

“When you see this writer shouting at the computer screen, turn and walk the other way or cautiously approach with Oreos.”

2.      If you had the chance to meet one of your characters privately, who would it be and what would you do?

Gabrielle, first introduced in Winning Virgin Promises, would be the character I’d want to meet. I can think of all sorts of things I’d like to ‘do’ to him.

3.      What is the naughtiest thing you’ve ever done?

Writing ménage romance ranks right up there. As far as naughty in my personal life, you’d have to interview my smokin’ hot hubby if you want answers to that one.

4.      Finally, can you give us your contact links?

“Tell me something, Stillwell. Why would you let a woman like Jade get away?”

“As of right now, I like you, Mr. Hollywood. Keep jabbing me with insults, and I might change my mind.”

Max casually leaned against the tube-style railing surrounding the patio. “I’m not trying to offend you. I’m curious and nothing more. Why’d you let her go? Was it because of the BDSM scene and fetish clubs? Did you need to sow a few wild oats? What?”

“Are you writing a novel?”

“No, why? Would the love story be worth documenting?”

Sebastian laughed. “At one time it would’ve been.”

“Then what happened?”

So much for Sebastian picking Max’s brain about his intentions. “I can’t explain it. I was young for one.”

“You cheated on her for two, and I can’t imagine why. Even a nineteen year old boy recognizes when he has a beautiful woman in his bed.”

Sebastian felt a sense of pride then. He took a drink of his martini and savored the green apple taste. “You make a mean drink.”

“And an even meaner rival when I want a woman.”
I'd like to thank Destiny for joining us. It was a pleasure getting to know you.
For TODAY ONLY Destiny has offered anyone who  comments with their email address' a FREE pdf copy of her book, Behind the Game.
You have until 8 PM EST Friday July 12th (today) for a chance.
Best wishes,
